All of this could have been so easily avoided

Right, at the expense of paying customers that care about other things. If a unique reward was released solely for world content/LFR players (LOL) without anything for premade raiders in this patch, what do you think the reaction would be?

Same thing that happens every .5 patch in the modern WoW cycle, a burst of one month subs then a drop off in players.

buddy… not every bit of content in the game needs to be catered to you for god sake, how many farmable mounts are available in the game that you have to have literally 0 amount of mechanical and intellectual skill to obtain? go do that or quit

having something that people who are interested in working towards in the game is good

Correct. Not every bit of content needs to be catered to raiders. Blizzard could have made this patch tailored for other types of players. They didn’t.

If they did, the game would have something for people who are interested in working towards outdoor or LFR content - which as you said is good! Raiders could keep doing their thing since it had a super low completion % from what I understand. Everyone is happy.

But the slime cat doesnt fulfill that either. Its just a complete 3 raids, and youre done. There isnt anything you are working up to.

How is that any different than what they provided premade raiders? They log-in for three weeks and are done.

You do realize most raiders dont raid log right? Especially with M+ gearing.

What? They run normal for three weeks and get the mount. It’s no different than if they fated WQs from across the three areas week by week and tied the reward to that activity.

Yeah the only thing I’ll agree on is that they should have updated ZM to also give higher gear. And give a reward for LFR whatever. But neither of those are true, and given that there’s only 1 reward for either lfr and normal, I’ll choose normal without a second thought.

Normal raiders got the shaft for this expansion and possibly ever since m+ came out. Let them have this one.

Depends on how your pug process is and how guild prof is if you are doing it.

Like i am planning to rerun of the raids with my guild after getting my achievement, because i like raiding.

At least normal raiders don’t have to wait weeks after a patch for Blizzard to open the content for them! LFR still uses a two week rollout delay per wing for… unknown reasons.

That’s the drawback for no effort and a way to mimic some kind of progression. Didn’t they change the great vault raid line to account for that?

Ahhh so you just don’t care about players that don’t fit your play style. Shocking. This is why Blizzard should’ve just left the mount for the first mythic raiders to complete the content this patch. Everyone else just needs to git gud and play better.

Whatever floats your boat. Dunno how you got that from what I said.

Me thinks you just want to be upset.

Sure, why not? Its just a mount. Once DF is out, i probably wouldnt be using it anyway due to Dragonflying.

I’m not the one who took a shot at content taking “no effort”. To heroic raiders, normal takes “no effort”. To mythic, heroic takes “no effort”. To world first, mythic takes “no effort”. So, give it to the 20 people who do put in effort.

i’d love to see the sub TIME numbers of raiders vs completely passive open world players
i would be willing to bet money that “open world and lfr” players sub for a much lower amount of consecutive time

You do realize World First is just a race for the first completion of Mythic right?

i dont think you understand, LFR takes no effort, for ANY players

Blizzard hasn’t cared about sub numbers for a long time. There are micro transactions now.

If I play for a month and buy 20 tokens, that’s $415 compared to the person who just subs for a year and pays $180.
