This seems to be linked to a given account rather than a machine/client/installation. My account will log in after a slight delay on either of 2 PCs. But my son’s account receives the error on both PCs. So, it seems like there is nothing we can do locally.

And another outage, so happy its 2024 and i can’t play a game how old. Another win for big game companies who are so out of touch with their fan base these days. way to go.

I just happened to get an itch to play this again last Friday night and installed this on my recently-setup Win 11 box and am encountering this issue. I thought I might have something messed up on my firewall, but glad it seems to be a more general bug.

Same problem. None of the provided fixes help. All the other blizz games i have installed are fine.

Confirming still says this

Same here as well. Submitted a ticket w/ copy and paste response to restart, flush dnc, ext…

Blizzard support is REALLY USELESS! (I know you are not them.) They tell you to do the ‘basic trouble-shooting’ stuff, and if that doesn’t work, they just give up. They apparently have NO communication with the Devs, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Regarding the API being broken, do they not have version control they can roll that bogus API update back, to before it was fubar’ed?

Thank you for being a good ambassador!

do yall just come here and post with out reading or what, cause this is getting kinda rediculous now. for the hundredth time, its a blizzard issue, not a you issue. the problem is with the North American Starcraft 2 servers. So to the people who say the other games work fine, well gee there not sc2, it isnt all blizzard games broken, its just sc2, and specifically the Na servers,

Being a problem with NA servers, nothing you can do on your end is fixable. Not a thing. There was no patch, or update that went through before this started happening. it just happened.

Anytime you see theres a tempory outage that almost always means that blizzard is having server issues, unless you dont see other people having similar problems and reporting it, then its on your end most likely, however here its not the case, as there are countless people steping up with the same problem.

For the love of god read before yall post and try to FIX your game.

gotta love apologists like you. What you say is in part true. But also, it’s still unacceptable. There is somewhere between understanding and not laying down and just taking it.

I have the same problem I contacted supports and says to be a guide for troubleshooting my router omg. It’s obviously a server problem a bug

I have the same problem connecting to any server (normally I’m in EU, neither US nor KR works).
On a side note, I’ve tried to click “Account Management” on the login screen. The link opens in my browser. I’ve checked DNS records, and the domain doesn’t exist.
It looks like Blizzard broke the game, indeed.

EU, same problem, try delete ptr+switch beta and delete+reinstall game : still same problem.

Same problem. Installed the game for the first time in years. Probably first time on this computer. Can’t go into any server.

Same Problem here. Installed the game after not playing in years, first time on this computer, and it does not authenticate on any server

I haven’t been an “apologist” for anything. There hasn’t been defending of anything on my part. I’m not judging anything to be right or wrong, not claiming the situation to be appropriate or not, not giving my opinions on right or wrong.

I’ve only stated that the people who man the support channels do not have the capability to fix bugs. Not because they aren’t being allowed to, or that they don’t want to, but because they don’t have the ability to.

So what is possibly unacceptable in your eyes? That the support team didn’t take on a second or third career path so they can both man the support channels and somehow be the coders and engineers at the same time?

Or perhaps that it wasn’t fixed within minutes? Hours? Half a day? A day? With no internal insights into what is wrong, no one here can set any expectations as how long any fix should take.

I get that people are frustrated, but don’t let frustration cloud your sense of logic and reason.

SERVERS ARE BACK it finnaly worked for meeeeeeeee

see yall just had to wait till the weekend is over. smh, all of yall are some illogical impatient noobs.

Leviathan – Most of us realize the Tech Support group cannot re-code things. At a higher vantage point though, the Tech Group SHOULD be communicating with other parts of Blizzard – including the Dev Team – and keeping the customers properly informed of the situation.

Instead, what most of us got when we opened Tech Support tickets was, try these basics trouble-shooting steps. We dutifully try them, tell Tech Support it’s not working, and then Tech Support is like – /shrug good luck buddy! THAT IS NOT GOOD TECH SUPPORT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I do hope someone at Blizzard reads this comment.

Also, the error appears to be fixed at least for me on the East Coast, US.
