Same problem. I had this issue a few months ago… it got fixed, but now It’s back.
Hey there,
I’m seeing tons of different ISP/Countries reporting this. If it is an ISP issue it may be with a “Peer” network. So far all reports are from Europe region of the game. Does the same issue happen when playing Americas version? This will help identify if the problem is region specific.
To test this please use the little world icon just above the play button in the Battle.net application.
Let us know how it goes!
Side note, added all the new posts to tracking. Thank you for posting!
Same problem, SC2 was working fine until 2 days ago, but now game can’t load properly (win dialog bar with never ending progress bar) either via launcher or through executables. “Trick” with starting game offline worked only yesterday, today by doing same game won’t even start - only giving error about not being able to connect to Blizzard’s servers. But solution with pasting over config files - [3b] folder to be precise, did let me normally launch the game. EU region btw.
Same here. EU server.
I am from Europe, been playing on the American region.
Same problem as the others, started yesterday for me though.
I thought it’s some regional problem too, so I switched to Europe and it didn’t change anything. Scan & Repair didn’t help either.
Hey there,
Thanks for testing Americas region and letting us know the problem is in both. Could you run an MTR test to eu.actual.battle.net
for about 5 minutes? This is the authentication server.
That is our authentication server. Tests to patch server may also be helpful for this problem: eu.patch.battle.net
I ran both test for approx. 5 minutes.
test to eu.actual.battle. net:

I also would like to mention; for me it takes about 10~ minutes for Starcraft 2 to launch.
(btw. I cannot post links, sorry for the long log post, would’ve posted a pastebin instead.)
Same here. Europe. Yesterday I had endless loading. Quit waiting after about 15 minutes.
Reinstalled both battlenet and SC2. About 4-6 minutes to launch today.
Talvs solution worked for me also
Same issue here… Started after waiting for 10 mins or so. I’m on EU
Same issue for me, launching the game offline didn’t help
I’m on EU server, 5min waiting
Day 3: Here we are again, it’s rarely a pleasure.
Thank you very much, it works for me, hope blizzard will take notice of this
EU region
Same issue, with 10 minutes of wait, started july 5.
(Oddly, cancelling the que then changing region to asia,
then restarting fixes this?)
Hey all,
Got all new reports added to our tracking. We hope to have more information for you very soon.
Thank you so much for your continued correspondence. Cheers!
I just tried deleting the config file in sc2data, started the game and it worked immedietly!
If i try to play the game normally then i get the loading thing and after some minutes the game will open. But if i activate my vpn then the game opens and plays instantly. What ive been doing is that i activate my vpn, then open the game, then deactivate my vpn, then it says reconnected to blizzard services ingame and i can play. But it is getting quite annoying having to do this every time i want to play the game unless i want to wait about 5 minutes for the game to open.
its still happeding and i’v SLOVED it! Found Good Temporally fix to infinite load bar in sc2 that not loading, or you need to wait 10 minutes. to just few seconds
in short the FIX is just disconnect \disable the network while you see the bar and reconnced\enable video link: StarCraft 2 non stop loading bar fix - YouTube
