You’d have a point if the suggestions these people were making were all doing it for the sake of trolling, but they’re not, some people are putting out serious suggestions regarding OW balance for this. here’s the thing.
overwatch has a monopoly on hero shooters.
apex has to compete with fortnite and a ton of others.

overwatch has no AAA game that competes with it. IMO its like the H1Z1 of hero shooters. once better alternatives come out, its gonna die super hard

The only balance change in OW I think should be influenced by Apex is being able to walk in and out of Sym’s TP’s without having to manually trigger them.

Wraith’s portals (which are basically Sym TP on roids) are super fun to jump in and out of as both an enemy and an ally.

The ability to ping where the enemy is, or pinging on the map where you want your team to go is a feature I would want to see be brought into Overwatch. But I just finished playing a session of Apex Legends and I feel like I’m converted. I really enjoyed it.

overwatch has terrible balance, heroes lost their playstyles and identity due to nerfs and buffs.

everyone in apex has a role and playstyle. overwatch lost its way. its a joke now and i dont even feel happy playing it anymore.

ANYONE on the team can revive a team mate, not just one person. Lifeline rezzes people faster than her team mates and has a counterable way to block incoming damage with her shield (which can be easily outplayed) You can bring back your entire team, anyone can do it, but only at a specific location. Games Like Apex Shows Overwatch Is Too Team Dependent

Apex Legends is great because it has the right balance of allowing individuals to shine but also allowing cool team work plays. Overwatch has the same problem Heroes of The Storm had. It has taken team work dependence to the extreme.

Apex does Communication Right

I’m not trying to create a war over titles, but the way Apex Legends does nonverbal communication is VERY efficient. Some of the most upsetting Overwatch games come down to bad communication. It would be awesome to see Blizz adopt some of these very simple yet very effective methods.

It’s not about balance suggestions, it’s about quality of life and amount of content. While Apex just came out and we can’t know about the amount of content there will be in the future, they nail the quality of life part. Overwatch does extremely poorly in both cases.
