This is really disappointing and very frustrating. Ever since the last patch went live, Rein has been rendered clunky to the point of near un-playability.
I’d be happy simply being told “this is the way it’s supposed to be” rather than all of the Rein players (as well as others) being ignored. What’s more, is the fact that the community has been quite vocal about this:

As many of us here have noticed after this latest patch Reinhardt feels a bit…well…different. And by different, I mean much worse.
I think I speak collectively for all Reinhardt-mains when I say that we would really appreciate some kind of official response about this. I’m not even asking for a detailed response, just something like a “we are aware”, or “this is intentional”, or “wow, that’s news to us, we’ll look more into it”, or “haha, tough luck, home slice.”

I am a GM/Top 500 MT player who primarily plays Reinhardt I came on today estatic to see the Hanzo nerfs however the first game I played with Reinhardt I could tell something was horribly wrong. Almost every animation cancel for Reinhardt has been removed from the game and their is absolutely no mention of it in the patch notes. After the latest patch Reinhardt feels very sluggish and slow.
When Reinhardt tries to swing his hammer while holding his shield, it takes an entire extra 1-1.5 seconds for the swing attack to start happening.
Same with Firestrike.
It’s even worse with more delay if you are jumping with the shield and try to swing.
Also if you try to shield jump shield jump cancel to move a bit faster no longer works. Everything that has to do with animation cancel has been removed or bugged out.

These animation cancels were absolutely crucial to reinhardts playstyle, They worked by baiting out things such as the enemies reinhardts earthshatter, roadhog hook, burst damage etc, without them, reinhardts counterplay, effectiveness and quiet frankly skill ceiling is absolutely crippled

Lootboxes got addressed and fixed within a few days. Not a single word regarding Rein

After the v1.26 patch, both Reinhardt and Brigitte experience random 180degree turns if they are holding their shield and release it for whatever reason.
This happened very rarely before the patch but now something is broken and it happens way too often.

They found so many bugs in shatter they reworked it. Ironically, it introduced more.

That is sad thing about bug fixing.
It’s not out yet. These are animation cancels that were removed for the most part.

When I first pick him up after the last update, it does feel slower after Firestriking.

Yeah I adjusted too just alot ov missed opportunities and junkrat tires that could of been dealt with lol

Bumping. We need a response, Blizzard. We respect you, and love your games, but we’re finding it near impossible to play our favorite hero. This is a two-year old problem.
We’d appreciate returned respect, and would like some form of acknowledgement about this.
