lolwut? People have complained about this ever since it was a thing. It’s just that most had given up hopes of it getting a nerf until now.
I agree that the sudden influx of Mei complaints just because of OWL is idiotic (I daresay borderline sheep-like), but that was a very poor counter-example.

Are you sure your on the forum and not reddit when your reading this? I dont think i’ve seen and mass nerf mei topics… ever on this or the old forum. The occasional “mei makes me mad” topic once in a blue moon but not like some witch hunt against her. Forum knows she’s been F-teir forever and we all just accepted shes the devil on winter vacation visiting overwatch.

Welp, i think there was a time on old forum when hanzo was not that much complained about XD
and yet in scrolling all the way to the 10 hour mark this and one other topic are the only mei focus I saw. Hardly a massive outcry for mei nerfs. I see more topics about nerfing reaper then I do mei and that makes NO sense at all.
Some youtuber made a video about mei, the sheep got loose. Their owner came and got them and directed them to a different pasture of hate and meis fine. You want to do her a favor, stop putting the spotlight on her. Take a hint fromt he zenyatta mains, he’s probably the best support in the game since launch but no one speaks of him and he’s still never gotten any hard nerfs/buffs even when jjonak got MVP with him.

We basically got goats back, two high sustain heroes are the top meta in OWL? Hmmm, surprise… it looks a bit like goats… and both can heal themselves, reaper ridiculously. Both of them are overbuffed right now and they just were in a sleeper state. All DPS need nerfs, every single one of them. Tanks are getting more and more frustrating to play cause you can’t do anything alone, while dps do everything alone.
I’d remove Junkrat in a heart beat. Everything about his kit makes me angry. Bastion is a close second.
As is every hero that inflicts a Slow effect.
Since Slows won’t stack next patch.
For instance, Reinhardt isn’t going to be nearly immobile anymore after getting one tick of slow. Then putting his barrier up for a self-slow.
And currently OWL isn’t playing with these changes to Slow effects.
Most notably, Halt + Frost won’t do a double slow, next patch.

I’m fine with her coming up to you and freezing you and killing you, mostly because she needs to get really close to you to freeze you.
But with tanks it’s just:
Freeze
Shoot
Not dying
Freezing again
Shooting
Not dying
Freezing AGAIN
Do you understand why I don’t like that?
All I want is
After Mei’s freeze stops lasting you gain immunity against it for a short while
Because getting frozen over and over again is just aggravating
She can either dominate a match or get completely run over and contribute very little. When she dominates a match it feels horrible for the people against her because usually it’s just going around freezing people. When she gets run over it feels horrible for everybody in the Mei’s team as they will barely contribute. With all the reworks that went in for Torb, Symmetra & Brig; I wonder if the Dev/QA team have considered looking into Mei and changing/improving her play style.
It was back to back widow v widows before one side decided to go with more team play.
Mei wasn’t the go to. She came from the idea to work with her team. Suddenly that held more stable results than one v ones on widow. But both saw equal results. One just “felt” more secure even though the stats were the same.
I hope the Devs account for this before meis rework 3 months from now
Mei’s primary is great, but as soon as she gets a hold of someone (especially tanks) she can just freeze them OVER…AND OVER…ANd over…and over…and over again, leaving room for no counter play.
So to give a bit of counter play I think it’d be nice to add something along the lines of invulnerability after you’re unfrozen. It just feels broken not being able to escape even after you unfreeze.
It could be called frostbite and makes the enemy invulnerable to freeze for 2 seconds or something. I don’…
let me start with, I really like Mei, she is one of my mains and I play her all the time… but I feel like her ultimate is toopowerful for overtime.
Currently Mei can kinda just throw down her ultimate in overtime, on cart or wherever, and it can really stop the enemy from contesting point becuase the whole thing is being frozen.
I dont think mei needs nerfs but If she got one I’d turn her ultimate into a slow area, where everyone moves at 33% speed but cannot be frozen without mei going out of…
I stopped watching during the GOATS meta as the games started to blur together for me, but now I love watching again. Seeing professional gameplay and strategies has been really entertaining, but one questionable hero I’m seeing a lot of is Mei. Nerf mei, she had way to many QoL changes and pure buffs, she needs nerfs, right now, before its to late.
I see multiple topics about those three right now, that they are op, low skill or whatever.
Because of 2-2-2 and OWL-pickrates.
After the forum managed to get them nerfed, we can start over with Tracer, Widow, Genji and Hanzo again.
