I am having the same issues connecting to hearthstone on cellular data since the patch today. I have a brand new Samsung s20 5g so there should be no issues with my device or cellular connection.

FIXED! - I’ve been having this problem for over a year it seems like and finally decided research it. I’m using T-mobile and it rarely connects via mobile data. Support article referenced VPN and it worked!

I also FIXED THE PROBLEM… it is more like a band-aid. I am not a computer geek and I don’t understand what I did.
I had a OnePlus 6… to fix this issue all I had to do was get off the 4G network… and that seemed to solve my problem.
Then I got a OnePlus 7T, and getting ride of the 4G did not solve my issue. I created a new APN (use the three dots on top right to do so), I kept all setting the same except APN protocal I placed as IPv4/IPv6. Doing just this did not solve my issue, I then had to change my Preferred Network Type to 2G/3G (had to get ride of 4G LTE).
SO THIS SOLVED MY ISSUE, obviously I just change my settings when I play Hearthstone and then change it back when I do not use Hearthstone. I changed my network back to 4G but left the new APN settings and drove my car… I felt I was dropping people much more often… so make sure you change it back when you don’t use Hearthstone.
FYI, it’s been 4 months since my post on this thread. I can only play on WiFi and sometimes on mobile data only if I turn my Sprint mobile connection to CDMA (3G). No talk of a timeline for a fix, no discussion of compensation… Only workarounds… WTF?
My phone will only play Hearthstone on wifi and refuses to work on 5g, or 4g for that matter. I have tried every single tech support tip including clearing cache and redownloading. I would really like to play on mobile data. Please let me know how I can. I have tried switching the type of data, so please do not suggest that as it does not work.
I’ve got the same issue here, using a galaxy s10+ on fido in Canada. Works only when connected to wifi. I even downloaded the game and installed it while on cellular data and it still won’t connect.
I had a galaxy s9 that worked everyday no problems connecting. The s10+ is with the same provider and even uses the same sim card as before and still no luck. I have tried reinstalling the game and changing my network connections as described above but so far no luck.
Can we get an update? This is still an issue.
Yeah, still have same issue here too, will it be resolved in the upcoming patch (Sept 29)?
I cannot play hearthstone on transit, and its almost 5 months now
I’m super glad I paid for the tavern pass but I can’t actually play. How can this be ongoing for 5 months with little to no updates? Spend your money and cross your fingers it’s fixed I guess. Another reason to hate Sprint & Blizzard

This issue still hasn’t been fixed for me and its been 5 months going into 6th. Thats half a year. Hearthstone had been my main game for years now based on my life style and accessibility. Now I log on once a month with wifi because I’ve learnt to live without it on my daily commute.
I use to constantly be looking up new ways to play the game. What the growing meta is like and staying up to date with all the patches and updates. Now I just log in once a month and go, oh okay.
I speant A LOT of money and time into this game over the years since beta. I’ve grinded every season and finally hit legend once. I loved playing this game with my friends as i commute to work and I would play during lunch time. Sad to say I’m very distant from heartstone for almost half a year now.
July 6th was the last time blizzard has replied, so we’re going on 3 months of not even a response now… Are you still reading this post or just don’t care ?
I have the same problems. I just got back into this game. Using Samsung Note 20 Ultra with Sprint 5g. Can’t play
I’ve been having this issue for a few months now. It comes and goes as far as how bad it is. Sometimes I can play a game or two after a reboot or 2.
Same issue on 2 different Kindles, started at same time. Sometimes one kindle works but the other one doesn’t.
I’ve tried at least 5 different networks to connect to. No dice
The past week or so has been completely unplayable. I have a full collection on all 3 servers, so this sucks.
Look people blizzard doesn’t care might as well move on. They are just trying to ride out the gravy train for as long as they can. The best people left blizzard and are creating their own games. Blizzard will soon be just an after thought.
Blizzard use to be really good with paying customer support. What happend? I spend well over a thousand dollars on hearthstone given beta till now. I bought every expansion with my own hard earned money. Not only that I spent priceless time into the game my highest rank proves it. I cant get my money back and I cant get my time back. The only thing I ask for is to be able to play what I purchased as promised. The slogan on the app store is be able to play on the go with the same account and library. Its nearly half a year and thats been false.
Just got the problem and I cant believe it’s around for such a long time. Blizzard fail BIG TIME on this to a point its unnacceptable from a company like Blizzard. HUGE FAIL, very disapointed.
Let me started with saying that in my house we all use the same provider (fido.ca) and only one single cell phone have the problem.
It work on my Galaxy s5 neo (was my previous cell phone)
It work on a Galaxy s5 (My boy cell phone)
It work on a Galaxy A5 (My other boy cell phone)
It work on a Galaxy A10 (My GF cell phone)
Not workign on the galaxy S10e except with a VPN on. The APN work around dont work.

Oh and huge fail blizzard, didnt expected to have to pay for a VPN to play your game … it’s pathetic.
If I manage to start the game, I always get disconnected when someone from my battle.net friendlist comes online.
