I don’t want to have to look through all (At the time of posting) 142 replies here, but is there anyone in this thread that at least understands that Battlegrounds couldn’t keep going the way it was as a resource and money sink for them?
Resource: yes
money sinking for me: no, because i am smart with my purchases in BG
Blizzard doing blizzard things. Terrible decision making. Looks like I’ll be uninstalling hearthstone and playing TFT since riot at least knows how to keep a game f2p.
I meant for Blizzard.
Well, no.
Mega bundle is 80 bucks.
Perks cost 2k gold. On their own admition, 100g = 1 dollar. So the mega bundle should be 60 bucks, with the removal of perks. Recheck your math, as it’s way off base.
oh. thanks for the clarification.
"All players will still continue to get their normal daily and weekly progression Quests that progress the Hearthstone Rewards Track. Hearthstone daily and weekly Quests will still be able to be completed in Battlegrounds as before, but the Battlegrounds-only weekly Quests will be removed from the general Quest pools and moved over to Battlegrounds Missions pool. "
ok. thanks for the math
which things are you talking about
in know it isnt the BG battlepass so what is it?
Implementing a new currency to obfuscate how much you are spending, or create outstanding balances (in their favor) isn’t required to make a profit.
how would you make a profit on this if you were HS itself? .
Except your understanding of the statement above and theirs are radically different, that’s all I am saying.
Just say okay and keep scrolling, lol.
Carry on.
It isn’t the questions so much as the expectations of comprehension and adult interaction that are the issue.
It is worth the time to argue it is more the point, I guess.
Thanks!
Ya, I bet it’s not like now, lol.
Totally agree, but the way they monitized it was to make the entire HS economy predatory.
Runestones make BG flat pay to win with how imba heroes are.
Is what they did, not monitize bg.
They stealth screwed everyone and then lol’d.
if you know what the word obfuscate means
Agreed. But removing gold option from battlegrounds is specifically screwing those players over. Imagine if packs were only able to be purchased with rune stones.
a nightmare for everyone
, but they would convert the gold into runestones so your currency doesn’t get lost in the trash.
To render obscure, unclear, or unintelligable.
To bewilder someone.
The changes are to delink money and purchases as a way to make people more likley to spend the non-money.
Nowhere that is stated to be a thing. Please provide source.
thanks so much. now i know what obfuscate means. you are word smart.
Why should they?
I see a lot of entitlement mentality in these comments. Do you think the develops work for free?
On a side note. let us not be mad at HS yet. we haven;lt yet seen the Notes yet. there may be other fun stuff in the 24.2 patch that could take ur mind off of the new battlegrounds system
