The change to make the two extra hero slots a cash only perk is a huge change. If you’re trying to play professionally you literally have no choice but to cough up. I don’t care how good you might be, or how much they try to balance the heroes, some heroes will always be stronger than others, and by not paying you are halving your chance of picking a strong one.

I didn’t think the Hearthstone e-sports scene could get any more dire but they found another way to deter players.

The vast majority of people that play f2p games spend little to no money, but you need them to keep game activity up. If you over monetize you lose the f2p players and your game dies, simple as that.

I was fine with paying real money/gold for the simple perks, tying 4 heroes to the BP is a slap in the face.
I turned away from OG Hearthstone due to its ridiculous monetization, I have been playing BG’s heavily for 3 months it was a breath of fresh air and they screwed it.
Back to the uninstall…don’t tie competitive advantages to purchases for the love of god

ive seen people recommend shadowverse and eternal card game in these forums many times and those games had a currency like the runestones since the beginning and all them were ok with it

AGAIN, like I stated over on your D4 “announcement” - I Couldn’t Care Less about cosmetic crap! I just want to play the game. Your loss. As for the Rubies or whatever the “currency within the currency” LOL will be: Good luck with that as well. Not spending $20 for 500 rubies, for 5 pack lots that cost 400 (or any other arbitrary number that does not match the lots of “rubies” you purchase, that the price of packs will be). You must think people are dumb (most are).
I can compare my car to my neighbors car. But mine is the one I chose to buy, and to drive. Not theirs. I can even compliment my neighbors car. Doesnt mean it suits my needs. Now imagine I have a Tesla, and the company decided to remotely disable perks from my car that I previously had. Something they’ve done, actually. I’d be in my right to be upset. Or “outraged” as you prefer to put it.
So yes, obviously hundreds of people voicing their opinion on how making the 4 hero choice behind a paywall is obviously “fake outrage”. Grow up.

They are finally forcing monetization on this garbage. If we can count on Actiblizzard to do anything, it is to make sure people pay.
F2P will quit in droves and all that is left is 20% of the playerbase who pay. Congrats on having no one to play with, just like Wild.

Worst update battlegrounds has received so far.
Imbalanced minion types are one thing - it’s not fun but everyone can play them…
Limiting the hero selection to 2 with no chance to unlock 4 without money is pure pay2win. It’s sad but this will ruin the mode for all who don’t pay. RIP battlegrounds

Bummer, I spent hours farming gold for perks for the next season, fully intending to spend hundreds of hours playing when it releases. You were purposefully withholding information about this change to the very last moment, so people who farmed gold would get screwed over, isn’t that right?
Monetize, it’s your prerogative, but I won’t be investing any more time or money in your products, you’ve made it feel wrong.
