For anyone that is upset by this announcement, remember that you can express your disapproval in a more meaningful way. Leave a review for Hearthstone in the app store. Update your current one to reflect your opinion of the direction that the game is heading. Let others know what they are getting into when they go to download the game.

Wait, so now players are expected to pre-order the expansion, separately buy the Tavern Pass… and now separately buy the Battlegrounds Tavern pass?! And if you don’t you can only choose between two heroes which will inevitably cause you to lose more games?! And you can’t even earn runestones in-game or buy with gold?
I don’t know which corporate greaseball came up with this business strat but they need to be shown the door.

the only change is perks is will be cash only ( theyll sell a runestone bundle with just enough of that currency to get it)

This is shameful, Blizzard at its lowest, sorry, Activision Blizzard I meant, you say you learn but you do worst and worst everytime, if you need to monetize, offer better cosmetics or increase the number of players, making it pay to win it’s gonna kill the players base, it’s like when you swithced from tiwitch to youtube for esports, yeah you got more money, also lost 70% of the viewers, and that took a bite of players as well, I guess I’ll have to switch to TFT

Me parece horrible que un modo de juego gratuito ahora lo pongáis P2W poniendo de escusa que es para “seguir dándole apoyo y crear contenido para la floreciente comunidad de Campos de batalla” cuando eso lo conseguís sacando cosméticos que lleváis una temporada que no paráis de sacarlos, q eso no me parece mal, pero no pongáis las ventajas de héroes pagando porque os cargáis el juego en rango medio/alto, tendréis a toda la comunidad enfadada, dais una imagen HORRIBLE. Vais a perder mucha gente como no cambiéis esto YA.
If you lock the extra heroes in the hero selection phase behind a paywall, battlegrounds will officially become pay 2 win and I’m done with Hearthstone forever.

Dude, looking on the “Good side of things” let’s blizzard get away with terrible practices that harm everyone. To give an example this is like if everyone was on strike against some horrible oil tycoon in the 1900s and you’re defending the oil tycoon

Blizzard is slowly killing itself. The last good mode in Hearthstone is now made pay2win just to squeeze out a little more profit. My hopes for a good and fair Diablo 4 are slowly but surely fading into thin air.

the way i see it they are making this change because most of the playerbase is already buying the perks with money and not gold sso they know theyll be ok with the runestone switch if they dont change the price

Way to ruin the last good thing about your game.
Funny how this company believes it still has the power to monetize their games in such a disgusting way. One could argue that after steadily having their playerbase decline over years, losing the crown of top mmo (held for over 10 yrs), releasing a game that was in beta and beeing obliged by public scrutiny to offer refunds on it ( *hitforged, it’s you), sending one of the most beloved and played shooters from top 10 most large playerbase to not even appearing in top 20 anymore (overwatch, you there?) and not shipping a game that could be called in such a way in the last 5 years a company would learn, or realize something is off, with them…ehhh…One could never be so wrong…

I realy feel you pain man. I have cherished memories of the old days where Blizzard seemed way more concerned about the state of their games more than money. How the (in my eyes) mighty are fallen. Posts like Bonzai’s proof that the community aren’t afraid to pay. Companies need money. Simple as that but, Please Blizzard… It would break my hearth if I have to give this game up due to preditory bulls**t. Is spending a premium amount on the same game every expansion not even enough for you!!!
Unfortunately this is probably a taste of the future. I’m with you on this though. What do I spend my gold on now? I hate the game modes.
