Truly? I will specify, no problem.
Lemme tell you how it looks from my point of view as an impartial observer — I have no quarrel or friendship with either of you, really, or any other reason to take it personally or something — why would I, indeed… Besides, the rest of your discussion with the TS looks quite normal, which isn’t often the case on these forums (I’d probably just scroll past otherwise), but this particular point seems strange to me.
The guy mentioned something in passing, almost as an aside, about his packs or whatnot. You, on the one hand, call him out on it and keep pressing the issue, even though it’s related to the subject or the TS’s ideas tangentially at most, moreover, say something about ‘flexing’ — dunno, you must be seeing something I’m not… On the other hand, you insist — rather actively — how it all doesn’t matter and nobody cares. The question is: why? It just doesn’t look consistent to me at all.
About that… You’re definitely not new to these forums and must know how it usually goes there, mustn’t you? More or less the same set of characters — regulars of sorts — posting the same stuff, which includes swaggering, throwing tantrums and so on, among other things.
My point is: there’s no reason to automatically project this behaviour pattern on the TS, as you’re seemingly doing, for he’s apparently (as far as you can tell by reading posts on the forum, that is) neither a regular nor a bypasser (?) with yet another ‘RIDICULOUS!!!11’ topic, moreover, he’s explained his sentiment about the game rather coherently — why assume something like that out of the blue?
Nope, in fact, I find your posts in general reasonable. However, you seem to be getting along well with the local colour , so I’ve taken the liberty of speaking about that ‘tribe’. Sorry if that sounded like an insult , that wasn’t my intention. The point was mostly about stereotypes, really.
About something else…
That’s a questionable statement, by the way. If it’s not a roughly normal distribution, but a rectangular one with the same chance for everyone, then something must be rigged. That’s not a new point, though, for example:
I see no problem with that, but that’s a bit of a digression here, I guess… Although it’s quite peculiar that so many discussions on these forums eventually converge to this attractor.
