Diablo 3 Armory

Is it still a thing? I can’t seem to load my character profile.

It’s pooped again? Nothing new. It happens after maintainences.

You can see it in-game…

When you click your name / avatar on the US Forums, the View Profile link will attempt to take you to your US Armoury page which, in your case, is…
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/
…which will fail to load, and give you a message that the profile doesn’t exist.

The reason for this is because, a few weeks ago, the Armoury URLs were changed to include the word blizzard in them, and the actual URL for your US Armoury page is…
https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/

However, this brings us to the fact that, as the numeric portion of your Battlenet shows, your home region isn’t the US. (The first digit indicates home region, 1 = USA, 2 = EU, etc). So, the page has links to Europe and Asia. The links on that page point to…

EU…
https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.co/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/hero/687254

Asia…
https://kr.diablo3.blizzard.co/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/hero/687254

These pages will give you an error of “This site can’t be reached” and, if you look closely at the URLs above, you may see why. Yes, they missed off the m from .com in the URLs. The actual URLs for your EU and Asia profiles are…

EU…
https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/hero/687254

Asia…
https://kr.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/hero/687254

However, looking at all three region’s Armoury sites, I can’t seem to see your profile.
Is it a long time since you logged into the game and started a game session?

The fault with the Forum’s View Profile links not pointing to valid URLs was reported almost two months ago…

Defeats the purpose of an online armory

Thanks for your thorough investigation. I logged in and completed a non seasonal GR like two weeks ago. And I only play on US.

D3 planner is able to import my characters. /shrug

It seems there’s something more than the broken URL going on. It appears there some server side issues in play.

https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/MerLock-1557/ is the correct US URL for MerLock.

If I repeatedly refresh MerLock’s armory page, it randomly lands on either the actual page:

…an unavailable page:

…or a 500 page:

Sometimes those three results load quickly, other times they load slowly. So there’s something going on server side in addition to the broken URLs.

Unfortunate that a large company like Blizzard would have persistent/reccuring issues like these. Thanks for taking the time to investigate though!

EU is also affected.

On my main account (https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Barahir-2600/career), 8 out of 17 chars cannot be displayed and result in an error 500 page, while the other 9 chars load just fine.

It is really embarassing for a Company like Blizzard to be a unable or unwilling to fix that ASAP.

I’d like someone to explain this one lol

That one’s almost nine months old…

…and starting a game with each of the affected heroes will force a refresh of the back-end data the Armoury pulls its information from, fixing it for you.

That’s in my profile right now.
Only seems to be on barbarians.

It wasn’t. My DHs and Monk were affected (as mentioned in the thread I linked). As I said previously, all it takes to resolve this is for you to start a game with each of the heroes and the Armoury site will update to proper data.
