You will get declined regardless of covenant. So why worry about it.

Sounds like making friends instead of coworkers would be a good solution.
Anyone who would decline someone over their covenant selection isn’t worth knowing and certainly isn’t someone I would group with knowingly.

Thats what it all comes down to. They dont want covenants changeable, because they think it will get them into groups.

It’s probably been addressed in this thread, but making Covenants have unique interactions within specific dungeons shows that Blizzard learned nothing from the design of Tol Dagor.
Covenants were a mistake.
Now you’re getting it. Especially since like Covenants, legendaries within SL are an active choice.
Choosing the wrong one gives people a bad impression of your character knowledge.
