Just tired of seeing misinfo spread, constantly.

Not sure where all this is coming from, I have seen 4 streamers, 3 class discords and a subreddit given credit for this in the last week. Literally… NO.
Here it is, the inception of PTRC hashtag.
After this point, it gained more traction in that thread and others, by us 3 members spamming it, Timba making a thread named it, and more spamming of it.
It had NOTHING to do and Started in NO discord. Where this came from is beyond me. Clout chasing with fallacy isnt cool guys.

I don’t see how that’s proof of anything except having a Classic character. It’s not like Classic and Retail are mutually exclusive. I’ve got a 60 Classic character too.

It wouldn’t even be such a care, if it wasn’t constant and seeming that all these discords are trying to yank clout for something they had nothing to do with at all. Its kind of irritating to see that.
“It started on the forums” litteraly all of us in that quote have said that since inception, I have seen neither of them, try to take clout for it, they just say it started on the forums.
For Discords, Streamers, or fans of them to try and manipulate this into being about them is pathetic and disgusting.

To be fair, this actually did start in the Peak of Serenity Discord.
Myself and Tiphess came up with the idea of trying to push the hashtag in a now long deleted thread.

That Imgur links a comment made after the GD post. That was the next day.
I obviously dont know about Convos of trying to push a Hashtag, and Tip did, and that one didnt stick yours did.
Pull the rip cord came from something Ion said to Preach about the covenants.
He said if something needs to be done they could pull the ripcord.
Thats where the statement came from, not the hashtag. The hashtag was all Timba, right there in OP.

Thanks for this, because I watched a Bellular video the other day, and he said that it started on Twitter. Got very confused since I remember hearing about it first on these forums but I didn’t have time to fact-check.
On a smaller note, perhaps someone needs to tell these streamers they’re spreading misinformation?
It started off with Watcher making a statement that they can make covenants optional as in that ripcord does exist. It just got carried around as a fad after that by the players who want them to take that step.

It’s okay, It doesn’t matter who takes credit for it - At the end of the day I’m just happy it’s evolved into something much bigger and now has taken life of its own.

And I’m happy for you for pushing through it all despite all the people who slung
