There are groups of people that used to get together and spam report people on RP servers for all sorts of stuff, I know for a fact this was going on on MG and Wyrmrest. There were also two discords (probably more) that would coordinate reports for the forum and target posts, threads, and certain users. Those two discords started for the high elf stuff.
Okay, that I can get. If it was an RP event or something and they literally said they hope to see him in the shadowlands. Context is key.
Precisely. One can’t infer the way something was meant through text, so is it not unreasonable to report something based on one’s own assigned context?
That’s why you really have watch words and phases in situations when people are emotional,they can be misinterpreted .

Even if what he was saying was a joke. If it wasn’t in poor taste which tbh any joke I could get from that doesn’t really sound like it would be distasteful I don’t see the problem with it. The fad now days is about celebrating the life of the people that move on after all. Many, if not most funerals now days have someone that jokes around to lift the mood. After all isn’t that what people need most in that time? something to lift them up? Wouldn’t someone like reckful appreciated someone making people there Smile on his behalf?

If it were friends and family close it’s ok,but a stranger outside a social circle ,it’s not.Trust me funerals with stranger saying a joke can whine up in a big fight match.

Not always true, i’ve been mass flagged plenty of times for an unpopular opinion. Never have I ever been banned for something unjustified. Although I have been banned once or twice… but those was justified.
He got silenced though, not banned. It would take several offenses to get banned if you can for chat reports at all.

I have never been banned in game but thats cause I stopped posting most things in anything but discord years ago. Whats the point.
Under most circumstances maybe. Yet this isn’t most circumstances. The guy was a streamer and made friends with many online people. The funeral itself was a public event. Anyone who was his friend or knew him or honestly even watched any one of his videos would of known jokes was appropriate in this situation.
