What’s silly about this is you can count on one hand, maybe even half a hand, all the things they brought back due to community request. Mage Tower is the only one I can think of, and it isn’t even the original one, there are different rewards.
They removed it for a reason, just like the tiger and the raptor, and it’s not coming back.
I for one am happy I don’t have it. If I did I would have no gold. Rarely do I need a mobile AH and I have a banker ready to buy stuff and instantly mail stuff over if I need it. It’s also a hideously ugly mount in general.
The real tragedy is those of us who only just “recently” (2021 and onward) started making decent gold, but were broke/average gold during BFA (and thus couldn’t afford it)
And now that farming 4-5 million gold is within the realm of possibility, the mount is no longer available
They put it on the BMAH because it removes massive amounts of gold from the game. I wonder how many people actually got it from there. It’s on there every 2-3 weeks right, maybe, and you can get it for gold capped only. Seems a little stupid.
Hey, so yea they did make the appearances of the mage tower unobtainable i myself as i started in bfa feel extremely bad about it and also they removed other older mounts that is also extremely unfortunate.
The difference is all of the things you mentioned did not provide with the same utility and also there were other gold sink mounts before this one which have not been removed like the transmog yak so we could argue why those werent removed.
all the mounts mentioned are available on the BMAH and show up quite regularly atleast once per 2-3 weeks.
There are plenty of mounts on the BMAH that still come from their original source. They should do this with the two ZG mounts. That raid should have never been removed.
Actually a decent point. Maybe they thought that a repair mount/transmog was much less special than a mobile AH on a mount, I dunno. Those are also a fraction of the cost of this thing.
Not saying I LIKE them removing stuff from the game. It’s stupid. But I also don’t feel like screaming on the forums is going to bring it back. The water strider thing is the perfect example. One of the worst decisions in the history of planet earth, the water strider can’t walk on water by itself. Tons of threads, thousands of responses, they did it anyway.
Everyone uses the forums for different purposes, again its my goal to attain this mount so im here trying to make the issue known i understand if it might not fit well with you but this is something i must do and i really appreciate people who have opposite thoughts posting on these posts it gives everyone a better idea of what more of the player base think.

By all means, keep complaining. No matter what other players say. It was a bad idea to take it away at all. They did not provide a good enough reasoning for removing it, in my opinion.
You don’t have to have everything. It’s ok for somethings to be exclusive to the people who earned them. Whether that was a high ranking in a season of PVP or grinding gold while something was available.
Nice!! I quit in wod… I had 300k which I gave to my then-guild. There was one on the ah for 300k but I also understand that not being able to get it now is what makes it special. And I’m okay with that.
