That’s actually two things I’ve determined in recent times that WoW desperately needs:
- A duck pet.
- Tome of Polymorph: Fruit

As far as i’m aware, there are no ducks in wow. It’s actually one of the biggest conspiracies in the entire game. No one cares about zovaal. We want to know where the ducks are!

There are a couple of duck appearances in WoW currently:
That said, I agree with the OP, we need ducks in game. We need the following:
- duck
critters - duck companion pets
- duck hunter pets,
- duck mounts
- the mechanized versions of all four ducks above.
The players have been CLAMORING for YEARS for Blizzard to add these to the game, and yet they have refused and subs continue to drop. Coincidence? I think not!
Also, once we have achieved our duck dreams, we can move onto our next efforts: adding kangaroos 
to the game!

Not only duck pets, but mounts, a duck innertube for the swimming impaired, and a playable duck race that flow over other mounter players and poops on their freshly washed mount.
