I would guess it’s because there is feedback in this thread that Blizzard can read and consider.
Probably a couple reasons. First, if there’s already a discussion going on, don’t start a new thread to piggyback off the first. Add to that first thread constructively. Second, this is a forum to discuss WoW, not complain about a different game and give spoilers for that game.
The first thread is a feedback thread for what WoW can do → exactly what the forums are for.
The second thread is complaining about FF14 → not what the forums are for.
Overall, the SFA’s in this forum have no say over moderation in the other forums.
His post was never removed though, they were just flagged. If the community flags the post that means it’s up to the mods to decide whether or not it breaks the rules.
I talk about flagging and unflagging read title.
If it breaks the rules, then it should be removed and state exactly what rule it broke in which part.
Keeping post flagged should not be a thing.
Sometimes threads get ‘unflagged’ just due to length of time they’ve been flagged - it’s been a bug that’s been present for god knows how long.
A good way to tell if what happened was the bug is if you try to report the post (which I assume you did) - it will fail. Nothing will happen. That means it’s still flagged, but it just isn’t… appearing flagged.
As, to my knowledge, the forum mods do not work the weekends, probably 99% of flagged threads stay up until Monday and most end up encountering this bug in the meantime. Very rarely, with threads that get super heated, a CM comes along and hides it, not a forum mod. So I assume they hide it so the mods can deal with it on Monday.
Also, unless I’m grossly mistaken, the CS agents don’t do forum moderation, so asking here won’t do much?
I literally told you it’s a bug. It’s not an excuse. You can literally try yourself - try flagging the first post you linked as spam - it won’t do anything.
