It would appear that Blizzard does not agree with you and they actually get the final say since they pay the bills.
I am not saying it is a good idea or not, I’m just saying that your conclusion may not be as detailed as theirs since they have waaaaay more data to pull from than you do.

True this. I am just saying that looking at the data I am seeing. It seems feasible for permanent wrath classic servers.
And at the moment. Everyone is saying yes or no based on superstition. Blizzard hasn’t even given us a definitive answer yet. Just a we don’t have plans for wrath classic permanently at the moment. Meaning they could make it and change their minds.
I just don’t get why everyone is acting like they know whether blizzard will make permanent wrath classic era servers or not. I am just saying I think they should. I don’t know the whole data like blizzard has, but from what I see, it is plausible.
And I don’t think going to private servers is a good idea either. Companies are pretty heavy about pushing their ips and taking down unauthauthorized use of said IPS. Like I don’t want to join a private wrath server, only for blizzard to come around and shut them down. Then again, the call for permanent wrath era servers will get even larger if that happens. But I don’t really want to take the risk. And I think blizzard should make permanent wrath era servers to protect their IP for wrath classic anyways. Just my op though.
I totally understand. I am not for or against it…I won’t use it but that does not mean that others won’t.
They still have… No plans is their definitive answer.

No plans AT THE MOMENT
At the moment is the key wording. Meaning, it could change.
It is a definitive answer for Blizzard. They will never say yes or no as this would be terrible PR.
“We have plans AT THE MOMENT” is also a definitive answer.
Saying we don’t know is not an definitive answer.
Besides it’s been 4 months of “AT THE MOMENT”. How long are you waiting. Are you still here asking about a “definitive answer” in 10 years?
So how does having WotLK era servers affect Cataclysm population again?
Well someone will pay it, commit to Wrath Era because they paid, regret it and quit. One player less for Cata.
In the grand scheme of things it wont affect anything sure
If they committed to Wrath Era they wouldn’t have played Cataclysm anyway.
That for a fact is not true.
Many, and I mean many are currently thinking to just play Cata because Wrath Era is not an option while SoD is too boring for them and retail is retail.
OK so your working theory is that someone would quit Cataclysm that they intended to play because of a lack of Wrath Era servers cause they bought a Wrath Era copy and then had regrets about it, is this correct?
You are not correct, no.
My point (not theory) is that Wrath Era will actively disrupt participation of Cata (multiple reasons). Does it have a real big impact? No it doesn’t, never said that. You for some reason think that
One of those reasons is that many people are on the edge about thinking to stay in Wrath, or just continue on Cata and onwards. If Blizzard adds Wrath Era with a paid copy (which lets be real they are going to do if at all), they will pay it, regret it 'cause dead servers and potentially quit or look for alternative ways to play, whatever that is
Obviously they’re not going to say ‘Never’. Even when it came to original Classic servers they didn’t say ‘Never’. If you want to interpret ‘no plans’ as ‘maybe’, that’s up to you. But as of right now their answer is NO.
I would like a permanent WOTLK era server, at least one.
I do not rush to the end content and get bored with the game easily, I enjoy questing through the zones and I appreciate all the work that was put into developing the original world. Back in 2008-2010, I didn’t get to experience every zone before they were changed in CATA and the same thing is about to happen again. When CATA classic comes out, I’ll probably switch back to Vanilla.

Every new change that made the game more convenient or easy made me less interested. I liked the challenge. A few weeks or months ago, when they implemented the quest assist on the map, I was glad there was an option to turn it off 'cause I enjoy reading the quests to figure out where to go.
Thank you. I assumed the term “classic” for WoW implied the original world before Deathwing destroyed it, but I guess it refers to just the age of the expansion.

Yes, that became obvious when TBC Classic was released.
And that original Azeroth will always exist in Classic Era, by the way.
Don’t be mad if the shoe fits. Sometimes the truth hurts and you immediately jumped to it.
Why do I get this feeling that your character with a whole 5 posts on it is just another rolling alt to ask for an era server?
