They left the group instead, a perfectly valid option for when the tank is not conforming to the desires of the group if they are the leader.
I could argue that the healer sets the pace just as much as the tank.
And? Are they immune to criticism because it makes sense for tanks to lead dungeons? What are you even saying? If they’re going slow and everyone else in the group wants to go faster, that’s an issue and there’s nothing wrong with saying so.
The point is, no tank cares if you want to go faster. Being unwilling to compromise isn’t great, but I’ll pull things how I choose based on the tank’s kit or the mob type.
If you wanna go faster than I’m going, find yourself another tank.
Bro it’s a level 30 dungeon in Wrath pre-patch where our characters are uber buffed relative to the content, which is also more nerfed than ever, I guarantee they don’t actually need a tank.
Ignoring what everyone else in your group wants because you’re the tank and you need to be the boss is toxic af.
If the tank doesnt want to go that fast, for whatever reason, then nobody has the right to demand he go faster. You can either kick him and tank stuff yourself, replace him with a new tank, or finish that dungeon at the current speed and find a new one after. You have no right how to tell someone else to play, until you pay their monthly sub.
You easily could. People were even doing this leveling in TBC.
lmao why not??? What?
You honestly think it makes sense to do this without even suggesting that the tank pick up the pace? What are you people?
It’s a group activity. Play to the group or GTFO.
And I can definitely suggest to a tank to go faster because everyone in the group wants to go faster without paying their monthly sub. That’s an absolutely ridiculous notion.
Many groups are, I’m sure. Some prefer the “holy trinity” but a lot of people have realized it’s unnecessary in low level content, especially at this point.
If a tank isnt comfortable with going faster and you ask him to and he says no, at that point you literally only have 3 options. Kick him, replace him, or shut up and finish the dungeon with him. You cant play his character for him, nor can you force him to go faster.
Ignoring what the tank wants because of what your or the group wants is the same thing. Yeah it’s meme leveling dungeon NBD, but the principle stands. You need him, and he doesn’t need you.
Instead of kicking and replacing you would have to leave if you’re not lead, which is what they did.
You don’t say!
1 healer, 4 casters easily melts SM dungeons. Nobody cares that you haven’t seen it. It’s a thing.
Oh, they can solo the dungeon? Not at that level. The tank needs a group, too.
Primadonna tanks don’t get to waste everyone else’s time because of their bizarre need to be in control. Especially in extremely easy dungeons where they are literally not needed. Just replace them with a dps if they’re going control freak mode, it’ll be fine, I promise.
Yeah you’re hyper focused on this narrow level range rather than actually understanding the problem the OP brought up. His example was SM, but his argument spans the whole game.
