Why do people act like the game is a race?

Do you have another mode, like is there a switch I can flick to get you to say anything else?

And yours is?

But did you do it as a Prot Paladin ?

They stand around in trade chat complaining about not finding M+ groups.

It’s fun to lol at the people relentlessly farming trinkets that will be outclassed by any M0 drop in two weeks.

Esports are made up of a pretty small percentage of the total player-base. Most of these people are just trying to have some sort of flex by completing content before others.

I don’t give a single you know what about anyone else. All I want is to be able to play the content I have fun in, which is raiding and M+ going as high as my gear will let me.

I enjoy a challenge. Delves are not hard and never will be most likely, heroic dungeons are brain off easy, so is basically everything else in the game rn.

So the season starting a few weeks after launch is a good thing in this regard.

Takes like two days to gear up bro.

They bought EA to have a bigger Raider IO score so they could have a higher chance of securing a mythic+ DPS spot over those who didn’t buy it.

Because racing is fun

Why do you act like driving 30 mph on the highway is acceptable? Get out of my way grandma I have places to be

I dont care about them, i just do what i do

Things happen IRL though. If for whatever reason you couldn’t play the first week, the entire season would be blown. Bro

I went into DF season 1 late, and the literal same day I hit 70 I was doing raids and M+.

People are making things up.

I can’t say it cause I’d get into trouble…

That is so interesting.

What’s interesting is how people are for some reason okay with a nearly 4 week delay on basic content.

Implying any video game streamer is “famous”…

Holy cannoli I didn’t know I needed that good of a laugh.

There’s actually another important reason for timegating, and it’s to prevent players from harming themselves by overdoing it. Humans have a bad tendency to optimize and progress to the point where the fun and interest are optimized right out of the game—along with their health. Even if you don’t care about someone who isn’t your friend or family member, it’s crucial to recognize that there are people out there who would keep playing endlessly if the content never stopped. Some players become so addicted that they push themselves to dangerous extremes, which is a sad truth.

Timegating helps manage that behavior by creating natural pauses, allowing players to step back, take a break, and not feel pressured to burn themselves out. It’s not just about keeping people subbed longer; it’s also about maintaining a balance so the game remains enjoyable and players stay healthy.

Sounds like a “them” problem, and punishing the entire playerbase because a few losers exist is ridiculous.
