There’s a difference here. For players who burn through content like an addict, they expect an endless supply—often because they were never told “no” as kids and now feel entitled to have as much content as they want. If all the expansion content were released at once, people like you would still be back in two weeks complaining that there’s not enough to do, and you’d either complain or unsubscribe, calling the expansion bad.
What you don’t seem to understand is that creating a never-ending amount of content would mean developers could never rest or spend time with their families. They’d be stuck in a cycle of endlessly creating something for the “no-lifers,” which is just unreasonable. Plus, it could seriously harm people who don’t understand the need to take breaks—getting off the computer to eat, move, shower, and take care of their health. Believe me, I understand that there are people who don’t care about others, not even their own family, like this person who said:
But I do care. Addiction is a real issue, and people have lost loved ones and friends because of it. Replies like that only confirm how much the community has changed and how spoiled a lot of people were as kids.
