The Leeway mechanic is absurdly broken. This will completely break PvP and effect PvE as well. If you don’t know what i’m talking about just search for it in youtube or something. This should never have made it this far into the beta.

It’s an issue, there have been posts.
Not sure what to say - I would assume it is on their radar.
WHY ARE WE NOT TALKING ABOUT LEEWAY?
Uh…
I may be a scooch new to the whole classic conversation and recently stumbled across a few videos on Youtube outlining these mechanics.
I also understand these will be implemented into Classic.
If I understand both of these correctly, they were implemented to accommodate the existing technology of the day, including the internet. Both of which have come a long way in capabilities.
I’m just curious as to why you would leave them in as they seem more of a technical in requirement, rather than a…
What is leeway?
Leeway is a bonus applied to the range of melee attacks and spells when both targets are moving to account for lag/ping etc. (This is a Vanilla feature). Recent videos from the beta have shown how this works. I’m not here to debate this as blizzard has stated this is working as intended.
However there was a wrinkle to leeway that is not working as intended…
Leeway bonus is removed for your target when their movement speed is reduced by 30% or more.
This currently is working a…
What’s leeway? I thought the same thing myself. Another MUST FIX item before classic goes live.

I understand why this mechanic was in vanilla wow, the average connection was terrible at the time, but this is just ridiculous. For those who dont know what lee way is, its a mechanic that allowed you to hit tagets running away from furture away to compensate for server lag. This should be removed before release for obvious reasons. https://youtu.be/S3GH5cWPFOE
I think the bigger question is: Why are you not reading, and posting in, all the threads on Leeway?
Or these forums…

I’ve got my popcorn ready, these responses will be fantastic.
I don’t think he trying to be a jerk, unlike some people.
Currently “Layering” is taking up the “30 New Threads a Day” slot. We can probably fit in Leeway sometime next week, before the next new wave of streamer hate.

Then his title is both wrong, and insulting. He didn’t actually make any case for it, or describe the issues, just “Go search if you don’t know”.

I am so upset you beat me to this. Saw this post and was ready to administer the business.

It very well may be a real and authentic component of Vanilla WoW. (Cannot confirm)
Here is the rub tho…
It’s clearly not working as it did in Vanilla, and that much is easily tested and obvious, so something is broken; you’re correct in that statement, but this just means that tuning is needed.

I feel like a good amount of these threads could be attributed to a few people posting on alts. 0 post and all.
Could you please send this agenda out to everyone? And CC the Gatekeepers as well? And have they scheduled a weekly recap conference call yet?
