I think a big reason is Grimrail is one of the more straightforward dungeons. Not really a lot of skip or strategies for getting around trash; it’s more or less point a to point b.

Honestly, Iron Docks and Grimrails are good A to B dungeons for Mythic +. I WOULD enjoy seeing whether it’d be practical to deal with the adds or wilt the boss down and AoE the hell out of them, and that third boss is kinda a cakewalk - it’s the second and first bosses you need to worry about a bit more.
Grimrail on Necrotic and Volcanic would suck though, so Iron Docks may lean better. Plus you could probably have that one Iron Star part add to the overall counter of the add pulls, thus encouraging very good shots and sniping as many adds as possible, not just the fastest route unless you went out of your way to mass pull a dangerous part of the dungeon.
Grimrail is beloved because it is SHORT. I love it, personally. If we get it for S4, it will be the Mists of S4. It would be so funny to have Grimrail in that proposed set, we’ll have 1 10 minute dungeon and 7 40 minute dungeons. People will be offering tokens for Grimrail spots lol

grimrail will kinda suck with affixes and I believe the gear in the dungeon is pretty meh so yeah.
On a second note someone made a reddit post asking people to not vote grimrail as it would make a terrible m+ being an annoying dungeon from a m+ perspective and the fact that it drops bad loot and look at what happened.
People have actively admitted it in threads on the forums, in multiple WoW discords, etc.
That they don’t plan to do Season 4 M+, so they’re choosing the worst dungeons to troll the M+ers.
Hell, there’s literally one person in this very thread admitting to it.

Exactly. People are refusing to believe this is the reason, and are telling themselves people have fond memories of Grimrail when it was actually one of the more despised WoD dungeons.

I run mythic+ to suffer, so I had to vote for UBRS and Everbloom, but Grimrail was a really close third option.
Tyrannical Nithogg is going to be an exquisite type of torture.

You people who think you’re trolling amuse me. I’m a bit of a glutton for pain and suffering, both of my own and also others. The knowledge I can grit my teeth and get through but others will struggle and fail and cry on the forum about M+ (see: this thread) is all part of the fantasy of M+ that appeals to me.

I didn’t even know about the poll and I am definitely not playing. I saw someone crying that Everbloom wasn’t in the top two, looked for the poll and insta voted UBRS and Grimrail in the event I did play, I liked those dungeons.

I dunno, I voted for Auch and Docks. The Grimrail people probably see some niche strat like they had back in the day where you would pet pull and then blow up all the trash with multiple BM Hunters using the Mirror Image trinket from Hellfire Council.
What I wanna know is why in the Sam Hill are people voting for UBRS? They see CM Gold video with time of 25 minutes? Y’all know that’s for “three chest” and the bronze clear time was like three hours, yeah? I assume it’s trolling.
Or you know, people want a difficult dungeon. I’d pay money to watch a group of bads in a +5 key trying to do the first boss without the old cheat trick that got hotfixed very fast into WoD because it negated the entire mechanic.
Hell even Zaela would be interesting to watch.
Because people are being derpy about this. They want to be able to epeen and look hurdcooorrrr, bro (insert me rolling my eyes, here lol). But I am betting half of the people voting for the dungeons that make NO sense, didn’t even play back then, or if they did, they didn’t get gold CM. Just a guess on my part.
During this past week of WoD TW, I saw a few bear tanks trying to be all l33t and fast chain pull in Skyreach dungeon. Not one of them knew the old trick to get over the first fence right at the beginning. They just tryna look cool. It was funny.
Imma just sit back and watch people get rekt in old content, and llaauuuggghhhh.
