Where will the servers be a few months from now?

They have in the past. There used to be a data-center in Texas (Austin I think, but not 100% sure) and also one in Boston Mass.

I have a standing offer to anyone who wants to rereoll on Herod. Free mageweave bags and a little bit of gold to get you started. Send me a mail in game and I will reply with your free stuff ASAP.

That’s because nobody wants to tank. It has little to nothing to do with overall server population. If you can’t find dps to fill a run, it’s not the server’s fault.

It’s a huge problem though, and more people would equal more tanks statistically.

It is an issue. Though I don’t think statistics will play out well. you’d have more tanks, but also more crappy players to chase off said tanks.

Lack of tanks IMO has less to do with server pop and more to do with player quality.

On the subject, I’m not surprised that player levels have dropped. It was expected after the honeymoon wore off. I could see server merges in the future, but it’s still quite packed on my server…I have to log in during off hours just to get a chance at mining nodes.

EDIT: I think I need to add that it wasn’t just player quality, but also game design. leveling a tank simply sucks in vanilla. TBC and Wrath added huge QoL benefits to leveling a tank (as well as adding better tanking options). I believe this also chases players away from tanking currently.

I hooked somebody up went I went home for a little bit to eat today. That’s three people this week so far.

Comment on your classic toon first of all. Second no just no. If a server dies down, especially the temporary servers they added, there needs to be transfers. No re-roll SOL. Whats wrong with you lol. Also, nothing is dead. Medium servers? The servers are still very full during prime time into the wee hours of the morning. Also medium is a higher pop than full was in the past.

Most of the servers are high during peak hours. A few are even full, with sizable queues.

Well, your first mistake is that you rolled a retail character. Goblin Warriors weren’t in Vanilla. That should have clued you in. Your server is probably low pop because no one is playing retail. They’re playing classic.

DL the Classic client and let us know how things go in a few weeks.

Better hurry, you got a lot of catching up to do.

People will just keep on playing.

Well you are 110 hybrid class. Basically a loot run for the others. :hugs::hugs:

I’ve done server transfers from low to high pop. Granted, it was in WotLK.

Originally in vanilla it only went high to low on a 6 month cooldown

My server Kirtonos is still full during peak hours, don’t know what you’re talking about OP. Most are either high or full.

More people doesn’t change the proportion of tanks to dps. That would be more important here.

they connected servers in MoP, that is essentially merging them from the players perspective

my realm in bfa is connected to two others

You’re chicken little screaming that the sky is falling.
read this post.

Medium pop is still way more players than the OG vanilla servers were and they were fine.

Hahaha!
