Hello, I’m here once again to detail how to obtain more vanity items. This time it’s the toys you can obtain from Classic to Cataclysm, a lot of them are obtained through a vendor or through professions so some categories will be much shorter than the others.
Just like in my previous posts I’ll be placing them into 6 categories, Quests, World Event, Profession, World drop, Vendor, Dungeon/Raid and Achievement.

I’ll try to explain everything the best I can, please tell me if I got something wrong or missed something and I’ll fix it as soon as I see it.
Toys From Quests
Power Converter - Alliance Only
This toy when used is a simple firework. The toy has a 5 minute cooldown and is obtained by completing the quest Show Them Gnome Mercy from the NPC Toshley who’s located at 60, 69 in Toshley’s Station, Blades Edge Mountains.
The quest is the final part of a chain of 4 quests with Picking Up Some Power Converters being the first.
Faded Wizards Hat - Horde Only
This is part of a pretty long series of quests, I ripped this straight off of WoW Head so credit goes there.

When you turn in Fade to Black there are 2 quests you can see in your mini map. Complete them and then see Azuregos for Farewell, Minnow. The 2 quests are Ice Cold and Pro-liberation.
Unusual Compass
This toy when used will force your character to face in a random direction. The toy has a 10 second cooldown and is obtained via the WotLK daily fishing quest.
Leyara's Locket
This toy when used will turn you into a Druid of the Flame. To start the quest chain to get this toy you must first obtain the achievement, Legacy of Leyara, which is to complete all of her quests after which you’ll get a Smoke-Stained Locket sent to you via mail.
Once you have that item you can then actually begin the small quest chain to get the toy.
Mylune's Call
This toy when used will summon several forest animals around themselves including butterflies, grass and flowers.
You gain access to this toy after completing all of the Druid of the Talon and Shadow Warden quests. To be able to complete Calling the Ancients you also need to have obtained 125 Marks of the World Tree which are obtained mainly through dailies in The Molten Front.
Costs 2,800g from the NPC Varlan Highbough 44, 88 in the Molten Front.
Mushroom Chair
This toy when used will summon a mushroom chair that you can sit on.
You gain access to this toy after completing all of the Druid of the Talon and Shadow Warden quests. To be able to complete Calling the Ancients you also need to have obtained 125 Marks of the World Tree which are obtained mainly through dailies in The Molten Front.
Costs 500g from the NPC Ayla Shadowstorm 44, 86 in the Molten Front.
Toys From World Events
Little Wickerman
This toy when used will summon a burning Wickerman that will act as a campfire, allows cooking.
5min cooldown
Is obtained during Hallow’s End for 150 Tricky Treats, Tricky Treats are obtained by killing the Headless Horsemen.
MiniZep Controller
This toy when used will summon a controllable zepline
This toy is obtained during Winter Veil with a stolen present.
Snowmaster 9000
This toy when used creates a consumable snowball by using Refreshing Spring Water as a reagent. It has a cooldown of one day but the cooldown is reduced to 1 minute (iirc) when Winter Veil is active.
It’s an Engineering toy, needing 190 Engineering to use and the schematic is obtained through the Winter Veil presents. The schematic is tradeable and can be sold on the auction house.
The snowball can be used for other Winter Veil items such as the disguise kit and the helper pets.
Elune's Lantern
This toy when used creates an item called an Elune Stone by using Solid Stone as a reagent. This item can then be used to create a beacon of light at a target location for 3 minutes.
The lantern has a cooldown of one day and is only available during the Lunar Festival after you’ve completed the Elune’s Blessing quest.
Winter Veil Disguise Kit
This toy when used turns your character into a snowman. You cannot move while you’re in this form and requires you to have a snowball in your bags for you to use.
Is only obtainable during Winter Veil.
Romantic Picnic Basket
This toy when used places a picnic basket at a target location which you can then use to sit down. If someone else clicks the basket while you’ve also clicked it hearts will soon appear over your heads.
The basket lasts for five minutes and is only obtainable during Love is in the Air.
(costs 10 love tokens)
Brewfest Pony Keg
This toy when used places a tiny keg onto a target location which you can then click to get Brewfest Brew. The brew is unique and gives nothing for drinking it other than you getting drunk.
Is only obtainable during Brewfest, costs 100 Brewfest Prize Tokens.
The Heartbreaker
This item when used will cause the target to cry while having a heart appear and subsequently break. The item has a 1 minute cooldown and is only available during Love is in the Air.
The toy is obtained via a drop from Apothecary Hummel in Shadowfang Keep during the event.
Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller
This toy when used will have you controll a little RC car.
Only obtainable during Winter Veil and only from a Stolen Present.
Profession Toys
Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan
This toy when used will teleport you to Gadgetzan in Tanaris.
260 Engineering and Gnomish Engineer are required to use. 4 hour cooldown.
You learn how to make this toy from the NPC Jhordy Lapforge in Gadgetzan, Tanaris near the teleporter 52, 27.
Ultrasafe Transporter: Toshley's Station
This toy when used will teleport you to Toshley’s Station in Blades Edge Mountains.
350 Engineering and Gnomish Engineer is required. 4 hour cooldown.
You learn how to make this toy from the NPC Smiles O’Byron in Toshley’s Station, Blades Edge Mountains near the teleporter 60, 65.
Dimensional Ripper: Everlook
This toy when used will teleport you to Everlook in Winterspring.
260 Engineering and Goblin Engineer is required to use. 4 hour cooldown.
You learn how to make this toy from the NPC Zap Farflinger in Everlook, Winterspring near the teleporter 59, 49.
Dimensional Ripper: Area 52
This toy when used will teleport you to Area 52 in Netherstorm.
350 Engineering and Goblin Engineer to use, 4 hour cooldown.
You learn how to make this toy from the NPC Kablamm Farflinger in Area 52, Netherstorm near the teleporter 32,63.
Wormhole Generator: Northrend
This toy when used will place down a portal that will send you to most of the zones in Northrend. You need 435 Engineering, 4 hour cooldown.

It also has a rare chance to get an Underground option, this will send you to a vendor in dalaran who will sell the Dragonling schematics.

World Enlarger
This toy when used will make you smaller. Your size changes much like when you’ve used Noggenfogger, it doesn’t stack with Noggenfogger. You must be a Gnomish Engineer to use it.
Drops from Weapon Technicians in Blackrock Depths
MOLL-E
This toy when used will place a mailbox that lasts for 10 minutes. You need to have 425 Engineering, has a 1 Hour cooldown.

Gnomish X-Ray Specs
This toy when used will show all players without any clothes. Requires 350 Engineering and you must also be a Gnomish Engineer to use.

Loot-A-Rang
This toy when used will loot a nearby corpse. This can loot from a distance making it perfect for getting to bodies that are hard to reach.
The toy is learnt from your Engineering trainer and you require 490 Engineering
Every toy that requires a keystone need 3 of that kind.
Ancient Amber
This toy when used will incase the user in amber (it’s basically an orange Ice Block) for and unknown duration, might be until canceled
It requires 100 Fossil Archaeology Fragments (no Keystone is needed).
Highborne Soul Mirror
This toy when used will summon a ghost version of yourself, it doesn’t follow you.
It’s obtained through Archeology, it requires 100 Night Elf Archaeology Fragments and needs a Highborne Scroll as your keystone.
Bones of Transformation
This toy when used will transform you into a Naga.
It requires 150 Night Elf Archaeology fragments and the Highborne Scroll Keystone.
The buff lasts 2 minutes with a cooldown of 10 minutes.
Kaldorei Wind Chimes
This toy when used will tell you the current weather conditions, this will be good for hunters who want pets that are locked behind certain weather conditions.
It requires 98 Night Elf Archaeology Fragments and the Highborne Keystone, 1 minute cooldown.
Wisp Amulet
This toy when used will turn you into a wisp for 2 minutes, 10 minute cooldown
It requires 150 Night Elf Archaeology Fragments and the Highborne Keystone.
Druid and the Priest Statue Set
This toy when used will summon a huge beam of green/white light, the light will follow you if you move.
It requires 100 Night Elf Archaeology Fragments and the Highborne Keystone.
The Innkeepers Daughter
This toy when used will act as your hearthstone, it will also summon a ghostly female dwarf.
It requires 150 Dwarf Archaeology Fragments with the Dwarf Rune Stone Keystone.
Chalice of the Mountain Kings
This toy when used will summon four dancing female Dwarves with swords for ~20 seconds. 10 minute cooldown.
It requires 100 Dwarven Archaeology Fragments and the Dwarf Runestone Keystone.
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
This toy when used will whisper to you, there’s a total of 26 possible whispers.
It requires 140 Nerubian Archaeology fragments with the Nerubian Obelisk keystone.
You can only hear a whisper once every minute.

Blessing of the Old Gods
This toy when used will turn you into a Green Silithid Battle Tank for 20 seconds.
It requires 140 Nerubian Archaeology Fragments and the Nerubian Obelisk Keystone.
Haunted War Drum
This toy when used will play what appears to be WC3 troll music (not sure as I’ve never played WC3)
Requires 100 Troll Archaeology Fragments and the Troll Tablet Keystone.
Pendent of the Scarab Storm
This toy when used will summon roughly 20 scarabs that will follow you around.
It requires 150 Tol’vir Archaeology Fragments and the Tol’vir Hieroglyphic Keystone
Arrival of the Naaru
This toy when used will show a short"cutscene" showing how the Eredar (Draenei) first met the Naaru.
It requries 124 Draenei Archaeology Fragments and the Draenei Tome Keystone.
3 minute cooldown.
World Drop Toys
Orb of Deception
This toy when used will make you look like someone of the opposite faction for 5 minutes, 30 minute cooldown.

Super Simian Sphere
This toy when used will transform you into a gorilla surrounded by a purple bubble for 5 minutes, 1 hour cooldown.
Time-Lost Figurine
This toy when used will transform you into an Arakkoa (humanoid bird) for 5 minutes with a 30 minute cooldown.
To obtain this toy you need to do Skettis quests and to kill Arakkoa in Skettis for shadow dust,
- Convert the dust into an Elixir of Shadows (6 dust per) from the NPC Severin in the Sha’tari Skyguard Camp in Skettis.
- Kill Time-Lost Arakkoa to get a total of 40 timelost scrolls.
- Interact with bone piles spread across Skettis and kill the mob that spawned (consumes 10 scrolls per summon) there’s a total of 4 with each dropping a different reagent.
- Which will finally allow you to summon Terokk which has a chance to drop the toy.
Will need to wait roughly 10 minutes between each summon of Terokk.
Worn Troll Dice
This toy when used will roll 1-6, 10 second cooldown
Obtained through pickpocketing, suggested spot is Skorn in Howling Fjord.
Decahedral Dwarven Dice
This toy when used will roll 1-100, 10 second cooldown
Obtained through pickpocketing, suggested spot is New Hearthglen in Dragonblight.
Loaded Gnomish Dice
This toy when used will roll 2 dice which will always roll a 7, 10 second cooldown
Obtained through pickpocketing, suggested spot is Maker’s Ascent in Uldum.
Vendor Toys
Iron Boot Flask
This toy when used will turn you into an Iron Dwarf for 10 minutes.
It costs 10 Relics of Ulduar from the NPC Rork Sharpchin (Alliance) at 28, 74 or from Olut Alegut (Horde) at 37, 49 in The Storm Peaks
1 hour cooldown.
Frenzyheart Brew
This toy when used will turn you into a Wolvar for 5 minutes.
To obtain this toy you’ll need to purchase a Disgusting Jar and will need to wait 3 (real) days for it to “ripen”. there isn’t a reputation requirement for the toy so once you get it you can freely switch to the Oracals for the Green Proto-Drake if you haven’t already obtained that mount.
Requires revered with the Frenzyheart Tribe to purchase.
Toy Train Set
This toy when used will summon a train set with a circular track, while the pet is active it will cause all nearby players to use a train emote.
30 minute cooldown
Costs 225g from the NPC Jepetto Joybuzz located in Dalaran 44, 46
Wind-Up Train Wecker
This toy when used will summon a small bot that’ll destroy a nearby Toy Train Set.
30 minute cooldown
Costs 250g from the NPC Jepetto Joybuzz located in Dalaran 44, 46
Blue Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller
This toy when used will summon a small blue controllable rocket.
5 second cooldown
Costs 40g from the NPC Jepetto Joybuzz located in Dalaran 44, 46
Tiny Blue/Green Ragdoll
This toy when used will place down a small doll at a targeted location.
30 minute cooldown
Costs 10g from the NPC Jepetto Joybuzz located in Dalaran 44, 46
Gnomeregan, Stormwind, Ironforge, Exodar and Darnassus Banner
These toys when used will place a banner of the city faction you use. These banners don’t give any buff and iirc they do have collision.
Each banner costs 15 Champion Seals which are obtained by doing Argent Tournament dailies in Icecrown from the faction NPC’s from that factions pavalion.
Orgimmar, Silvermoon, Undercity, Thunderbluff and Sen'jin Banner
These toys when used will place a banner of the city faction you use. These banners don’t give any buff and iirc they do have collision.
Each from the faction NPC’s from that factions pavalion.
Argent Crusader's Banner
This toy when used will place a banner of the Argent Crusade. These banners don’t give any buff and iirc they do have collision.
The banner costs 15 Champion Seals which are obtained by doing Argent Tournament dailies in Icecrown.

Red Ribbon/Rope Pet Leash
This toy when used will apply a leash to your current vanity pet if you have one out.
Both are sold by Breanni in Dalaran 58, 39 for < 2g
Stave of Fur and Claw
This toy when used will transform you into a Furbolg which lasts 3 minutes with a 1 hour cooldown.
To purchase you need to be exalted with Timbermaw Hold. Sold by Meilosh inside the Hold for 75g
This is basically a worse Dartol’s Rod of Transformation but this gets removed in Cataclysm
If you want to quickly get this I've ripped this from WoW head, it is Alliance only.
- Pick up the first part of the quest from Raene Wolfrunner at the Astranaar Inn (36,49). She’s the one with the wolves around her.
- Go to island inside Lake Falathim (20,42). Redeem the quest and pick up the next part.
- Kill the little Murlocs in and around the lake until you get the “Glowing Gem”.
- Return to Raene Wolfrunner at the Astranaar Inn (36,49). Redeem the quest and pick up the next part.
- See Shael’dryn at the Moonwell in Ashenvale (53,46). Redeem the quest and pick up the next part.
- Take the road east out of Ashenvale, and turn north at 59.62. When you reach (63,48) on the road, start looking for the Treants alongside the road. Kill every one you see until you get “The Wooden Key”
- Go to 54,35 and open the box.
- Return Shael’dryn at the Moonwell in Ashenvale (53,46). Redeem the quest and pick up the next part.
- Go to 72,71 and kill the slimes until you see a “Rusty Chest” under one of their corpses. In the chest you’ll find the Iron Pommel.
- Return Shael’dryn at the Moonwell in Ashenvale (53,46). Redeem the quest. Wait for her do craft the Reconstructed Rod. Then pick up the next quest from Shael’dryn.
- Go to 54,50, and follow the winding path upwards. At the top is a “Hidden Shrine”. Right click it and pick up your Dartol’s Rod of Transformation. There’s no need to pick up the next part of the quest, and I’m not sure if doing so would cause you to lose the Rod.
Tol Barad Searchlight
This toy when used will summon a spotlight that will point upwards, it’s purely for aesthetics.
Requires Honored with either Hellscream’s Reach or Baradin’s Wardens.
Sold by Pogg 54, 81 (Horde) or by Quartermaster Brazie 72, 62 (Alliance) for 40 Tol Barad Commendations which are obtained by completeing daily quests within Tol Barad.
Dungeon/Raid Toys
Piccolo of the Flaming Fire
This toy when used will cause all nearby players to dance, there is no duration and will only be canceled once you move, 5 minute cooldown.
This is obtained from killing Hearthsinger Forresten from the Stratholme dungeon (Live side)
Orb of the Sindorei
This toy when used will transform you into a Blood Elf for 5 minutes with a 30 minute cooldown. Doesn’t come with a pre-set look so you’ll be wearing your current gear.
This is obtained by killing Kael’Thas Sunstrider from the Magister’s Terrace dungeon located on The Isle of Quel’Danas which you can easily get to via a portal in Shattrath.
Achievement Toys
The Schools of Arcane Magic - Mastery
This toy when used will teleport you to the top of the Violet Citadel, when used again it will teleport you infront of the steps of the Violet Citadel (can only be used in Dalaran).
Getting the toy requires you to get the achievement Higher Learning which has you interact with various books scattered in Dalaran.
The book locations are...

Location: Dalaran Visitor Center (52.2,55.5), on the floor to the right as you go in, in front of the little table with books on it
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Conjuration]
Location: Violet Citadel (30.9,46.3), group of bookcases on the right as you go in, Bottom of the left bookcase.
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Divination]
Location: Violet Citadel (26.5,51.7), Up the stairs to the left, on the floor in front of the bookcase, next to the sands of time portal.
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Enchantment]
Location: Threads of Fate (Cloth Armor shop)(43.6,47.1), Go up stairs out on the balcony on top of a crate to your right as you walk out onto the balcony.
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Illusion]
Location: Violet Hold (64.5,52.8), as you go in head to the left and against the wall on the left crate, next to Archmage Timear.
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Introduction]
Location: Violet Gate (Crystal Portal)(56.7,46.1), to your right as you enter (northern bookcase) on the floor in front of the bookcase.
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Necromancy]
Location: Legerdemain Lounge (46.9,39.1), Upstairs west room, empty bookcase
[The Schools of Arcane Magic – Transmutation]
Location: Legerdemain Lounge (46.9,39.8), 1st floor western bookcase near the door.
Titanium Seal of Dalaran
This toy when used will flip a coin, the coin will either be heads or tails.
This toy is obtained by completeing the achievement The Coin Master which will have you fish in the Dalaran Fountain for gold, silver and copper coins.
Personally this took me roughly 1h 45min to complete, you can also use the gold coins to increase the chances of you getting coins.
And that’s it, that’s all the toys that are in the game from Vanilla > Cataclysm and again if you think I’ve missed something or have gotten something wrong please tell me and I’ll fix it as soon as I see it.
The ones I’m most iffy about are the Archaeology toys so sorry if they’re inaccurate.
