Update: Earthfury Pop Growing - Blizard is Listening! Come to our server, help EF grow!

Ended up rerolling back to Skeram. Least I learned a lot my first time playing horde and will be able to speedrun the first 30 levels or so.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the new server though doesn’t it? Transferring only to go back to another full server? Not that I blame you or anyone else that did this. Blizz might as well have not done anything.

The lack of communication makes me sad

Just ran a manual census on Earthfury Alliance. 437 characters. At 6:30, which is not prime time yet. If your numbers were correct, that’s pretty rapid growth from 150 to >437 in the past 2 days.

Now, the number does drop off precipitously after level 45, so not at all surprised that people can’t find groups for BRD. Anything over 30 is currently high level, so if high level guilds were transferring over, they should be arranging to do the necessary activities within the guild to prepare for raiding.

Seems like server first MC is easily in reach for a high level guild here, followed by cycling guild members through rank 14 and progression through the remaining raids - as long as the guild doesn’t give up.

Indeed. I made a mistake. Expected leveling zones to be devoid of people and to have trouble finding groups but I didn’t expect there to be zero economy. Can’t even upgrade my bags without either leveling an alt with tailoring or pay a huge premium because there’s so little competition.

Funny thing is the longest queue I’ve experienced in Skeram since I rerolled was 20mins…

roooofl, thats from release week idiot, im talking about currently , which my original post states CURRENTLY. The biggest Q I saw over the weekend was 1900 and took me under 25 minutes to get in (i know this because i watched a GSL SC2 match that was 27 minutes long and I was logged in right before it ended.)

The average Q is about 500 at the moment. Why dont you grab current stats because thats literally what were talking about

EDIT: Ill also note you didnt provide proof that they raised population capacity on Incendius because they didn’t.

Yeah I logged in tonight and realized there’s zero chance of me finding a dungeon group. Logging off and going back to play League. No reason to pay $15 a month for a single player experience.

Blizzard needs to fix this asap or at least this guy is gone.

It’s amazing to me that you guys dove headfirst into a new server and you guys are mad at blizzard that other people knew better than to transfer to a fresh server this late?
I mean, why do you think people are waiting OK with waiting in queue? It’s because they know where the players are and they want the strongest community that can weather the player attrition.
I mean, rolling a new server when this is a fairly volatile time for a lot of players and we are probably going to see a lot of player turnover in the next couple weeks.

I just don’t know how you can blame blizzard for other players deciding NOT to take the same roll of the dice.

Bump for visibility. Our whole guild transferred over from Herod, and the experience has been so unlike that of everyone else playing classic WoW on other servers. Almost impossible to find a group for even mid-level dungeons. No economy for most items, or completely manipulated prices for important / niche items. Those 3 new realms should have been one… And it might now be medium population. Very disappointed in Blizzard on their logistics for this situation, and lack of communication in follow-up.

Did you happen to read my first comment? I feel like I explained the reason for transferring ASAP pretty well. I agree with what you’re saying. I understand some people will feel the way you do. I am making the argument for those who don’t share your opinion, and would rather play on a dead server than not at all. I have been playing, and will continue to play on Earthfury. Managing the queue all day is not an option for me. Having even a 30-minute queue during peak times is also not an option for me. I’m sorry that’s not the same opinion as yours, but it’s how many people feel and I believe it’s valid.

Our full guild transferred due to queues and now we are being punished because the player base is stubborn. We took the risk and are paying for it. I do NOT want to pay actual money to move into a more populated server because this was Blizz’s only option for us to not wanting to sit in queues for hours. Please allow us to server transfer into a medium pop server if possible.

INB4 “you shouldn’t have rolled on Herod”. All servers were extremely overpopulated until late into the first weekend when Blizz finally added more servers. Most of us were making it work, we were able to level and invest quite a bit of time into our characters. When given the option to move, we did so its not like we are doing this to ourselves. We are trying to have a good Classic WoW experience, but I think this low pop is killing the guild morale and most either don’t want to play or are splitting up on different servers.

I would just like some communication from the Blizz team on their thoughts on this specific matter. Thanks!

You guys were too impatient and left Herod because you couldn’t wait in queue and now you guys are too impatient and can’t wait for the server to fill up.
My advice, pick an established server and deal with queues or deal with a dead server. The population is going to shrink either way. At least on Herod the shrinking wouldn’t lead to dead realms.

This. Earthfury has been open for less than a week. It will stabilize one way or another, just have to give it time. But rushing off is only making it worse for everyone else.

Eitherway, leave or stay via a merger or more transfer offers, the server will stabilize. If any of you have been left behind from guilds who want to leave, feel free to reach out to me for guild information, or reach out to one of the other solid guilds already forming here.

I could be wrong here but based on the blue post about these free server transfers to Earthfury, it was only open until the end of last weekend. How were we impatient if we only had a couple days to decide?

As mentioned some of us were making Herod work, but a lot of the other guildies were not. Majority rules. I also don’t think it’s outlandish to be frustrated about the situation when we still haven’t heard from Blizz on the concerns from users that did transfer. I would be happy to hear their thoughts or plans for the future.

If I knew they were going to merge Earthfury with a different server or offer free transfers at a later date, then I will continue to play with no issues. I am trying to be optimistic about the situation and honestly your comment isn’t very constructive to the situation.

I doubt blizzard is able to say they’re trying to mitigate how many servers they put up because they’re trying to stall until player turnover stabilizes, but maybe they need to if people can’t figure out why they’re so reluctant to roll out new servers.

Blizzard adding 3 more realms - Thalnos, Kirtonos, Kromcrush - 11AM Wednesday.
