A new month means a beary good time for a new round of in-game playable race request suggestions!
With the beginning of each month, I make in-game suggestions for each race I want to see playable along with a mention of their respective megathreads on these forums. While it is far from a guarantee of seeing our dreams come true, I do think every little bit helps, and doing it monthly I feel is reasonable and not that intrusive or annoying.
If you’re interested in doing the same for races you want to see playable, I made a little guide on how to do so in-game here:
Hopefully, we’ll be able to bear it all in-game someday!
Blizzard had better return the Night Elves to Kalimdor and not just screw em over by having their new home be so far from their homeland…
I really wish they’d treat night elves with some respect…
They could thats true. Really anywhere the Night Elves resettle, preferably in Kalimdor, the furbolg would be easy allies, especially the three tribes that are already basically allied with the Night Elves/Draenei and the Alliance.
That would be a wonderful thing to see happen.
This does interest me though I’ve not been able to see it yet myself. (Been so busy with RL I haven’t really gotten to play much.)
I’m curious if they meant it as looking for allies among the peoples native to the Dragon Isles or just more broadly though.
Beware, imgur has new ToS so your pictures could be delete of your threat. I will find an alternative to imgur for my post, you should think about that too.
Warlocks will be available to all current playable races, aside from Dracthyr, in the upcoming Fractures in Time patch:
This should hopefully set a precedent with future playable races being able to be Warlocks.
This would likely mean that if Furbolg ever became playable, we could see Furbolg Warlocks as an option. Not entirely sure on the lore for that, but I’m sure a case could be made for them.
I know Blizzard has mentioned wanting to open up more race/class combos, so it’ll be interesting to see if any other classes get a similar treatment, which would potentially affect future playable races. Something to keep an eye on for sure!
Warlocks among the furbolg could be a group dedicated to using the fel to draw its power from places where it ought not be. A few of them, of significant will, choose to take on the Fel taint so that they can use it to fight demons, remove the fel from an area and their brothers and take it into themselves.
At least thats something I came up with. Kinda goes along the lines of fighting fire with fire.
I do think that Warlocks being rolled out like this suggests that Blizzard is definitely going with the ALL races ALL classes setup many suspected.
So I would expect all races to be able to be any class eventually.
Blizzard has announced that Blizzcon will be held in-person on November 3rd through November 4th:
It feels like there should be at least one major patch of Dragonflight left, maybe even two, so it’ll be potentially important for Furbolg fans to keep an eye out on in case something gets announced for them. Nothing guaranteed, of course, but still a possibility.
We might also be getting close to when the next expansion will get an announcement. Even if nothing comes from the Winterpelt Furbolg for the remainder of Dragonflight, it doesn’t mean nothing could happen with them or Furbolg in general in the future.
Expectations will of course be tempered, but regardless of what is or isn’t announced, we just continue to march in support for playable Alliance Furbolgs as best as we can!
Yes! He’s not the only one either! The Stillpine have some as well, and several druids exist as mobs though few transform!
Tur sadly would likely remain neutral as he’s part of the Timbermaw tribe but druids among among the Furbolg is unquestioned.
The only classes I’d be concerned with for Furbolg are Warlock and Demon Hunter as we see that the fel really drives them nuts.
That said I think Furbolg of particular willpower would easily overcome this to use the Fel to protect their people from demons and fight fire with fire as it were.
We still have quite a bit to go through of Dragonflight, so with a new month, it’s a great time to send some in-game race request suggestions, including Furbolg!

Every little bit helps in supporting playable Furbolg!
I haven’t really played WoW in any meaningful way for awhile (Literally only getting on these days for guild nights.) But I still wish for Furbolg to be playable and I think now is a great time for Blizzard to setup those sorts of stories.
Though honestly as I keep saying theres already 2-4 tribes more or less already in the Alliance. It would be a very easy pull for an Allied Race.
Within the next few weeks I hope to do a little tribe post on the Winterpelt Furbolg. (among a few more thread related updates I want to do)
I still very much want playable Furbolg also. I haven’t really been playing WoW for awhile, mostly out of burnout as opposed to heavily disliking the current expansion like with Shadowlands. Instead, what little free time I’ve been getting, I’ve been giving a lot of love and attention to my Nintendo Switch. But eventually, I’ll get back into WoW more refreshed!
Also looking forward to seeing your Winterpelt Tribe post, as that is the current tribe of interest. Especially since we still have at least one more patch to go through with Dragonflight. Even if nothing happens in Dragonflight, nothing says we wouldn’t see playable Furbolg in the future.
Also, yesterday marked the first day of Summer, so here are some level 1 Furbolgs keeping cool, including some pool surfing:
Hope everyone has a fun, happy, and safe Summer! Please keep cool and stay hydrated!
The Stillpine are by far the easiest way to introduce the Furbolg to the Alliance.
Already allied, friendly with the Draenei, Night Elves and Broken factions as you said. Their homeland is literally the same as the Draenei with their own settlement. It would be trivial for Blizzard to add them.
Even better the Blackwood tribe in Darkshore, while taking heavy losses in BfA, is allied directly with the Night Elves and could easily expand the forces of the Stillpine if they were to join together.
If any of the Gnarlpine tribe yet live from the destruction of Teldrassil then they too could further bolster the numbers of the Stillpine.
Even better both the Gnarlpine and Blackwood tribes have a significant number of brown, grey black and blue furbolg while the Stillpine mostly focus on white (though they also have brown black grey members too.) So it could be a way to differentiate tribe a bit if they all joined together as well as expand their numbers.
There is also the strong possibility that the Thistlefur Tribe is allied with the Night Elves after Cataclysm though that story never went anywhere and where it all stands after Teldrassil is up in the air.
Long and short is that it is easy to add the Furbolg. I hope they do someday soon!
The Timbermaw hold the way through Felwood and into Winterspring.
The Blackmaw are a break off that refused to work with any factions even neutrally. They hold the gateway in Aszhara and are tricked by the Horde into believing the Night Elves attacked them.
The cave they inhabit used to connect to the Timbermaw but has since been collapsed.
Those are the only ones I’m aware of in Aszhara, though I might go take a gander around later… kinda curious if I missed something.
