Unable to see guild chat

An Update after 2 server restarts and several Blizzard reps logging into my account, making me reset my password and reauthorize everything on my authenticator a few times :slight_smile:

So far one character got the ability to see guild chat again.

Yea, sorry about that. Since this UI is part of the Battle.net Account level stuff, our normal method of logging into one of your characters isn’t sufficient and they need to take full control of the Battle.net account :frowning: But that has allowed them to do some testing and collect additional information for their investigation.

This is the 3rd reset and I still have the problem.

Only I haven’t seen any evidence that anything has been done with my account since the last one.

All I know is that my ticket was marked as resolved 6 hours ago.

You won’t likely see anything. Your case has been escalated to the game team, so it’s no longer something you’ll have tracked as an open or pending ticket within Customer Support.

Once some more information is shared by the game team, or the issues is fixed and they tell the GMs then you will probably get an email to let you know. Though, given how you are keeping a close eye on it you may see the fix before we get the chance to communicate it :slight_smile:

I’m sorry it’s being such a persistent bother though. I don’t know why the standard workaround that the Game Masters have isn’t working on your case but that’s why it was sent to the game team. Hopefully they can figure it out.

We also have an open bug for the general issue. Even though the GM workaround helps in most cases, guilds shouldn’t end up in this state if everything is working correctly. So we want to get the root cause fixed for that as well.

I just really had my fingers crossed for this reset since nothing important has been happening in guild for the last few weeks, but now we have all the 9.2 stuff to do.

I’m seeing an update to your case and it looks like they notified you so you should have an email. Hopefully things are looking better now.

Like I said, the root cause is still out there and under investigation. This means it could potentially happen again, but fingers crossed that they can find the solution soon.

I was just coming here to say that it looks like they fixed my issue and to thank those who kept working on it since they sent the email from a ‘noreply’ address.

The ‘communities’ I was a member of are still missing, I was able to join a new one though.

This happened to one of my g members today, kicking and reinviting fixed it
 Is there anything more to do? Or should we submit a bug report?

I’m going to lock this one up, as this is from 2 years ago and not likely related to the recent issues folks are experiencing.

There is a current active there here. While the matter is being looked into the current workaround that other players have been successful in doing is leaving or being removed from the guild and rejoining.
