Unable to see guild chat

Actually not communities, Just the guild.

I think itā€™ll be more helpful to identify which guilds arenā€™t working for you. If you could provide that info to the Game Master team they can look into those specific guilds.

Witching Hour - Zulā€™Jin
Ominous Latin Name - Zulā€™Jin
Masters of Destruction - Zulā€™jin
Ominous Latin Name - Blackhand
Gareth Emery Fan Club - Blackhand
Orgrimmar Casino - Blackhand
with Pancakes - Dragonblight
NoMoneyForYouBegger - Dragonblight

In the end itā€™s the characters on Zulā€™jin that are the most important, but this sure looks to be an account wide problem.

And even on the characters where I can see the guild interface and chat in Eleventh Hour on Blackhand, it is still missing the couple ā€˜communitiesā€™ I am a member of.

Klaviery was asking you to pass the guild info along to the game masters via a ticket. Game masters donā€™t come to the forums for info.

Youā€™ll have to add that information to a ticket as Kalviery isnā€™t a GM and wouldnā€™t be able to assist in this situation

I watched them post in /g from my character.

Iā€™m pretty sure that gives them GM functionsā€¦

If you can get it in a ticket, that would be great. Iā€™ve raised some flags on my end as well but having a ticket record of it would be helpful even if the GM isnā€™t immediately able to resolve it for you.

While the SFAs like Kalviery can do some of the functions of a GM, they do not have all the tools a GM has. Thatā€™s why youā€™ll need to add that info to a ticket.

This isnā€™t entirely correct. I have all the tools at my disposal that a normal Game Master would have. I used to be a Game Master

That said, itā€™s more about the separation of responsibilities and scope of work. Those of us here on the forums, our main responsibility is not to take tickets. Our main job is to be available to help guide conversations and provide information for questions.

The forum is also not the only place the members of my team work. We cover the Blizzard CS twitter accounts and other social media channels.

The reason Iā€™m now asking folks to create tickets is because we want to create a record of these reports in our system which can then be better tracked. There are some troubleshooting steps that Game Masters can try and theyā€™ve been successful for some players - so giving the Game Masters a chance to test those steps on these reports would be our next move.

But like I said, Iā€™ve also raised some flags with other teams in case there is a larger service issue going on. So far, we havenā€™t been able to identify if that is the case.

I stand corrected! Thank you, Kalviery!

I wasnā€™t verbose enough in my ticket about removing the parental controls. I just mentioned I wanted them removed to see if that fixed the problem.

No worries! We donā€™t often get into roles and responsibilities type discussions. Weā€™ve covered it but itā€™s not necessarily common knowledge.

I see that they tried some troubleshooting on your character and guild. Was that successful?

Nope :frowning:

Also, while I was chatting with the GM I was able to /ginvite a character on my other account and do everything as normal.

Itā€™s so strange. I can do everything that I should be able to do on these characters except talk in or see guild chat or access the newer guild interface.

Hi, Iā€™d like to report that Iā€™m having this same issue on all my characters across two servers since last Tuesday (Feb 1) reset. I canā€™t see any guild or communities in my guild and communities tab. If I type /groster, then I can see everyone, including myself in the guild.

You need to file a ticket.

I can confirm that my issue seems to have been resolved per the weekly reset. Still a weird bug to have come out of no where like that. Did Blizz do something to the guild interface last week without telling anyone?

It may have happened inadvertently. The problem with big code is that a bug-fix on one page could affect something seemingly unrelated somewhere else in the program, but only under certain circumstances. Which would be why it happened to the number of players it did, but not every player.

Hold up. I spoke too soon. The interface is back but the chat is still missing. IDK whatā€™s going on.

Edit: Nvm. It seems to have just deleted all the chat log history but otherwise is working.

More weird stuff with my account.

I have gone in and had to disable ReadID again because my given name started showing up again, I have had that turned off since right when we were able to.

I disabled it yesterday and even though it says disabled my real name is still visible.

Edit: A gm was able to fix this fairly quickly.
