I feel really bad to anybody clicking on this thread wanting to get a feeling about FFXIV. They’re going to be met with an astronomically inconclusive “review” along with this guy who has been trolling this thread for 20 straight days. I know that good trolls get bored within the first 2-3 days.
The point being is you could’ve literally gone with any other example. Heck, it doesn’t even need an example since you already compared it to uneducated ignorance for your example.
And given that “If” being capitalized after your racism “example”, that really says to me that you just shoehornned it in, then just a simple grammar mistake. And you’ve doubled-- no tripled down on that ever since i called you out on that. It’s just there for no real reason or purpose.
I don’t know why the whole comment of yours should’ve been this. 
I would still disagree with a good chunk of it, since most of this is borne your subjective opinion on OP’s subjective opinion and you still didn’t tell us what’s constitute as fair shake in your mind… (At least Bronzuk did… it doesn’t make it better, but he still did… ) but it would’ve been way less stupid and potentially be more productive.
And they can still do that.
I don’t think you know how comments on the internet works. Not everybody who clicks on the thread, want to read all the comments, even short threads. They clicked on it because of OP’s comment. And last time i check, i haven’t taken anybody’s ability to away to do just that.
Where is this mystical power that you keep on talking about where i take people’s ability to “get a feeling about FF14” or read any comment on the internet? Like, are you an alt of Bronzuk, or do none of you two know how commenting on the internet works?.. 
Seriously, these comparisons are honest to god inane. 
No offense, but you have to be a right proper fool to ever think a casual opinion is a formal review. There is no other way to put it. OP has never once said it’s a review.
Treating this as if it is a review, is your own fault. Simply put.

I disagree. Threads with high comments are, at the very least, usually highly polarized threads. The fact that you (mostly) disagreed with me means that most people are rebutting the OP and you are defending him. May I ask why?
Playing the game and then giving your opinions on it (however unfounded) is considered a review. My argument was that the review was far to short to give a meaningful response. Actually, if you look at companies like IGN, they take weeks to review a MMORPG because the games are…wait for it…Massively Multiplayer Online role playing games.
You’re right, it isn’t your place to tell anybody they need to have a reason in order to post their opinions online. But if they do, and someone has a different opinion than yours, don’t get mad when they do.
Well let me explain. (and this is going to be a long comment, little heads up. )
I understand well enough that OP’s opinion is completely meritless to a point of unhelpfulness. He doesn’t go into details of any of his points much and it is indeed conjecture, since he is speaking as if it’s objective. (Again, this is interpreting how OP framed it, i could be wrong) I do agree if he puts his opinion out like so, he should expect criticisms on his feedback.
But i also understand this is OP’s causal take on the game and he isn’t necessarily beholden to what somebody think how OP should go about with his opinion, since this isn’t a review. If this is a review (by OP’s own words and implications, and this is different from first impressions), then sure, he should. I ultimately disagree with OP’s opinion, but i didn’t think it was harmful or irritating enough to warrant such a request. Others felt differently though, and even seeing this thread as if it’s a review, rather then what it is, a casual opinion.
If you knew the whole “You aren’t playing the game” type of comments, they are not practicality helpful to say to anybody, especially since combined with not telling what the fair shake even is, and pedestal the game disliked in question as well blaming the person who disliked it, and you know why i disagreed way more with the other 4 blokes then OP here. I wouldn’t exactly call it a defense if i’m more or less attacking the general idea behind that sort of thinking. (being the aforementioned “You aren’t playing the game”.)
Opinions aren’t reviews necessarily. Yes, all reviews are an opinion, but it doesn’t mean all opinions are reviews. Not to pull up a definition but, here’s what it says for “Review”.
- a formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary.
- a critical appraisal of a book, play, movie, exhibition, etc., published in a newspaper or magazine.
In my words, Reviews imply more then “Oh this just sucks, and that sucks, and this suck and that suck”… It goes into detail why it they like/dislike something, what works, what doesn’t work, as well it has to be followed to the rules in order to be conclusive or even good.
Just out of curiosity, would you even consider anything i’ve said about FF14 a review? Because to tell you the truth, i don’t even consider this a review.
Not trying to bring my topic into this, but it’s really a weird way of going about opinions… in my opinion. Especially for the likes OP where these sorts of comments are commonplace all over the internet. I don’t think anybody would normally consider a forum post to be a place where reviews take place. Even to the likes of Reddit.
Length isn’t necessarily the big deciding factor on whether a review is meaningful or not, but alright.
I see your point, but this only works if OP said it’s a review or imply it’s a review. It’s just another casual opinion on the internet of the garden variety really. Even my opinion on the game is just that.

I disagree with OP and I disagree with Matthew and a few others, simply put.
TL;DR, he’s here to argue for the sake of arguing. I’ve seen him do this in the GD several times.
Some people are just bored in their lives and want attention. The only way they know how is to create scenes, bother others or create problems where there wasn’t a problem.
They desperately want to be part of a conversation, so they’ll start in on people for no valuable reason.

I feel I’m performing a public service by keeping him ranting here in off topic. That way people can have actual discussions in general. I wonder if he noticed this thread got moved and since we are all ignoring him literally NOONE is seeing him tilting at windmills.

Again, i’m not keeping anybody from having discussions. I seriously honest to god don’t know why your making me look like some sort of messiah here or something by saying “Oh my god Bari is preventing people from having REAL discussions…”… Meanwhile i’m trying to get this topic back on coarse, but i guess you 4 don’t want a real conversation anymore.
Though i guess in trying to do that, that means i’m preventing somebody from discussion with my magical hidden powers apparently. It is talking to these 2 words as the very idea of it that can be applied to darn well near anything. It’s universal in their usage whether it be together or each word individuality.

You didn’t really specify anything, all you said was “All prejudice is rooted in ignorance”… which even if your not talking about racism, that’s still wrong. The very idea here you’ve espoused here, is ignoring the context behind the situations of these incidents of ignorance to boil it down to an overly simplified answer that does more to confuse and deceive. Even two ignorance’s in the same topic are not the same.

You took that quote out of context and i’m trying to put it back into context there with the rest of the comment, the context being that you’ve said it. In what situation where me saying “and saying …” when i’m talking to you, means i’m saying it? I haven’t said anything contradictory there mate. And you didn’t even explain how it’s negates what i’ve said at all in that comment… You just declared it so without so much a quote or two besides the quote you took out of context.
