Title: A Serious Issue with Dungeon Vote Kick System and Player Toxicity

It’s why I’m purposefully dumbing it down to their level.

I see. After a point they are just being disengenuous and not worth having a discussing with.
I gave that one a chance tonite and he started doing the same old, same old again…not worth my time.

inb4 point proven in their next post

I’m surprised it gives you a debuff timer immediately, even if people have already quit before as well. The system in place is just not updated is all. I had to quit a troll dungeon earlier today because the healer DC’d and we started the little PVE event that has the NPCs walk down the stairs after being freed from capture.

But because it’s timewalking they all do no damage to each other from their scripted events made for Classic stats lol. We got softlocked and couldn’t vote abandon, so I just left. Had to eat that 30 minute debuff timer.

It’s a lot more pleasant yeah. That isn’t to say WoW is unpleasant, I think a lot of players on here are a lot nicer than they let on, they’re just more defensive and reactionary which can lead to people thinking they’re crude or mean. I’m no saint either.

I was gonna completely ignore you because you’re getting a forum vacation soon anyway, but fine.

This is what you said:

This is what Lio replied with:

But Lio has spent the entirety of this thread and many others begging for Blizzard to remove the thread of comeuppance or punishment.

So I said:

As a reply to Lio, where I quoted Lio’s post, not yours (you can go back and look again)

So I’m not even sure what you think you’re responding to with

Because I wasn’t talking to you and now you’re agreeing with someone who said the game needs less perceivable thread of comeuppance or punishment, calling ME dumb.

Aaaaand there it is.

Immediately proven.

I mean, OP could very well have been kicked for being in Windwalker or Brewmaster with a Spymaster’s Web equipped.

I’ll open their posts even though I have many ignored in here to see if theyre gonna offer some rational thoughts in here.
S way above had a good idea that I agreed with trying out…and then did what they always do and started telling lies about me again and ruined the charity being offered, as per usual.

Its expected behavioral patterns at a point.

So what would that do? People getting kicked would still get kicked, and eat the debuff.

Proving a kick was malicious to the level requried for an account action is a very steep hill.

yeah, its an easily abused system, made worse by blizzards literally telling them its ok to kick players who have done nothing wrong.

ive had times where something goes wrong in a dungeon and im sure its gonna give me the timeout…and it doesnt…then other times where it shouldnt…say everyone else bailed already and Im last man standing…and I get the deserter when I leave.
Seems very buggy or just a bad set up.

I think they’re already extremely confused by this thread, judging by their first few posts where they want more punishment, but agree with and defend Lio who wants less punishment, and then call everyone else dumb without reading.

It might be one of Lio’s alt accounts.

Think it’s best if we just report the post and move on. Should get a nice little vacation for it.

A steep hill does not mean unsurmountable.

it would cost money and we can be very sure that if spending money is involved blizzard isnt going to be interested.

What lol

If blizzard starting actioning accounts you’d definitely see less of the punished behavior. How do you deny such basic facts?

Blizzard punished malicious M+ leavers. Do you think the quantity of such actions has stayed the same or been reduced since?

Yes, the vote kick system is still same FIFTEEN+ YEARS old, despite Blizz introducing new ToS and “Social Behavior Agreement” which is clearly a bunch of shallow words just to show off them doing something when in reality it does nothing.

Here’s a thread I will link where a forum mod basically admitting the old vote kick system is bad, their support ticketing and reporting system is BAD too but they are NOT gonna do anything about it. When questioned harder, thread was closed since they obviously didn’t have the right answer to harsh questions.

So, punish people for not breaking the rules? Are you really trying to kill the game.

Ok, so they start moderating random kicks and taking action after one can be proven to be malicious.

Only Primerate in this thread would have taken anything from that.

Any other plausible reason (performance, chat, setup) that the group didn’t want to deal with is valid.

So they could say they’re introducing that, and effectively nothing would change except reports would take longer.

The point is that (for people except you), there’s basically always a reason. Outside of you, kicks for actually no reason are (in all likelyhood) easily less than 1 in 100,000 LFD runs.

Once a pattern had been established. They did not punish people who only left keys that were obviously going to miss the timer, or only left a few keys.

Less punish, more instill (in a very hostile and tangible manner) the importance of civility.

Huh?

It would be funny for blizz to add an option to report kicks

Then 3 months later closing it when they couldn’t find all the “troll” kicks
