No, I stated that I don’t have an ETA to provide here. We have, in the past, offered ETAs for various issues. Sometimes that is provided by Customer Support, sometimes it comes from the Community team. It’s not common, but I’ve learned never say never.

Lets try not to bog down the conversation here with nitpicking. It’s completely reasonable to ask for an update to an issue that has been going on for a while. I appreciate how understanding everyone has been. We’ll continue to share any updates we can. Thanks!

Still no sign of a compensation. Sad part is that I lost twice within 2 weeks

To my knowledge they aren’t giving compensation. They are just getting what you have earned to show properly.

It was never a problem with just showing properly. The talents were reverted and momentos were lost. They have the data to see how many momentos each player has earned and their talent tree points spent. A simple calculation can be determined to give those affected a rough estimate of momentos back.

After 2-3 weeks and filling 3 tickets, I got 1500 momento and I believe that’s it for me and I won’t get any help from blizzard any further. This is how little I matter for the company I use their service. Please explain how should I use 1500 momento to get back to the same spot I was? I was looking to unlock elite extermination before the bug, so I realized I lost 2 points on the trait above it, and two other points from the one exactly above that one. 1500 momento. Nice! I know if I say I am not happy with it, I would either get banned or get a nonsensical answer such as : " we know you’re frustrated but … ". I hope all you people in Blizzard who are responsible for helping us get the service running as it was intended, get the same experience in your life and get the same response on daily. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE you’ll understand what frustration means.

This is hyperbole and not needed. They are not going to ban you for saying you aren’t happy.

They didn’t have to do anything for you at all. The agreement that we all sign says that the game is presented as is and things can be removed and/or changed with little or no warning. They understand what frustration is and they understand how frustrating this was, however they can only do so much. They can only give back what they show in the logs.

I used a service by Blizzard and obviously did not agree to log in one day and see my first progression in this patch is compromised. I’m also quite sure if you log in one day and realize your fancy character lost all the gear and progression you would not talk like this. Probably you don’t remember, there was a time when Blizzard name meant something different. We knew that even if there are bugs, they are on our side. Anyways, I think your post does not provide any reasoning and I don’t see any reason to go any further if this is too much for you to comprehend.

I’ve been playing since BC launched, Blizzard hasn’t changed how they do this at all. They have always gone by their logs, the fact is they don’t HAVE to give you back anything. They did. Like I said you agreed that the game can mess up at anytime and change at any time with little or no warning and Blizzard does not have to compensate you in any way for it. It is in the ToU.

If my character were to lose all their gear and progression I would indeed be a bit upset. I would also know that Blizzard would do their best (as they did with you) to try and make things right. However I would also understand that they can only do so much. I’m not the one that isn’t comprehending things here. Again they are well within their right to not give you anything, they chose to try and give back what they could and you are complaining and wishing ill on them for it.

This post is trying to tackle a bug in the game as 2 game masters suggested me to use it, so please try to move your “appreciation” for blizzard to other channels and try to leave this post productive and useful for people affected. Have a good day my friend

I really appreciate those regular posters here in the Customer Support forum chiming in on this thread but I’d like to ask that you all hold off on responding here unless you are affected.

I get that we don’t usually make this type of request from you here, and we usually encourage you to jump in and offer information whenever you like but in this case there isn’t anything you can add that will directly help the situation or those involved.

This is being worked on, and we’re using this thread to communicate updates. I don’t want this thread to be derailed by hypothetical situations, analogies, or arguments. Thank you for understanding!

Please post when the restore for all affected characters has been completed.

God, how I miss old blizzard. We lose the resources we spent time grinding, and the only “help” is from a player’s post where a CS ask us to wait and don’t open tickets. And its just to give us back something lost almost a month ago, no compensations. You bought a service from blizzard, their mistake makes you lose resources, you wait, you don’t get anything.

By the way, I can’t even see the color of my lost mementos (lost twice) and I’m starting to doubt Im even gonna get them back.

My husband got his refund today, still waiting on mine.

(also fun fact, for some reason my forum account won’t update - My Warlock is no longer Alliance on Aerie Peak, but Horde on Hyjal.)

The armory updates don’t seem to have any rhyme or reason, it’s true. You can try changing your account password to see if it’ll nudge the system, but you’ll otherwise just have to sit and wait for it to knock itself back into sync.
