Honestly, sometimes the community is so bad that if it is a pug in an annoying instance (e.g. Dire Maul) I’ll just turn off instance chat until the run is over. People don’t listen and get angry and mean right out of the gate - it’s easier to play the role of a tankbot and drag them through the instance. Yes, it is a community game, but fixing the way the holy trinity plays out is on Blizzard’s shoulders.
he got 3 upvotes, the one laughing at him for the tank doing more damage and that person wanting to nerf tanks got 66. Well, at least people didn’t agree with that OP.
I believe that’s an oof, chief.
I’ll deal with the wait time and kick a prima donna tank rather than simp for them.
Good. Enjoy getting nothing done. Argument over. :V
you’ve never done a high mythic +, you havent tanked any keys this season and couldnt time a 12 as dps last season, thats an oof chief
I’ve kicked them before. It’s not the end of the world. The dungeon still finishes eventually.
big yikes, so how do you tank this season again?
I know, right? Almost like this isn’t my main.
And, well, this season is not one I’m interested in. Did my +10s and such last one.
See, that’s always fun when you use an add-on and raid, but forget seasons are patches. Ever considered the fact that people get bored of content?

P.S. Didn’t tank them.
what will more or less “fix” or at least help the lack of tanks is alt friendliness and making tanks fun (most of them honestly are boring) as well as a robust kit to handle more situations, not making them feel more entitled to power in authority. The damage wouldn’t really matter if tanks feel like they have more skills to save themselves and the party, I believe.
So often, I feel like tanks get disheartened when they are the first to die, waiting for a rez, and the DPS are able to handle the situation and barely live because the tank lacks experience on the routes for m+.
you said you had experience in high mythic + and that heroics wasnt casual content? where is your tanking experience in high mythic +?
wowprogress has that as your main ¯_(ツ)_/¯
It’s really not, I would say healer just bearly edges out tank, and thats group dependent.
When i heal? Good group who dose mechanics and a tank who makes active uses of their mitigation and pulls what they can handle? Im basically a low dps/ off healer, Bad tank who overpulls? Or doesn’t use the mitigation? Or group who stands in bad? Ok i’m gonna be screeching at the end of it.
When I tank? I need to keep my head on a swivel depending on the dungeon, did the dps or healer pull a extra pack? Are they following the right path? Is this pack of mobs in line to another one for a ranged to accidentally tab target onto? Am i pulling fast enough? Hows the healers mana bar, rotate my mitigation to make sure i stay healthy enough for the healer to keep us all green and ready to go…
Got my 12s, got my 13s. That’s about all I needed. Where did I say I tanked it?
It’s almost like I’ve been in them and watched tanks. It’s almost like, before I tank, I watch guides on tanking. It’s almost like - I didn’t want to tank those? Because I know what it’s like?
Strawmen are very bad arguments.
Didn’t take long to get a heroic dungeon queue in MoP even though the rewards were hot garbage, you couldn’t even buy last tier’s sets with JP like you could in Wrath or Cata. So maybe the answer is Vengeance.
but you have experience as a tank and know how to make tanking better because you are such a good tank? big oof chief you have no idea what you’re talking about
Mistreatment is highly subjective, I’ve met many tanks that take offense to anything that is said to them. Also, can we please stop lording over everyone with the short queue times? It’s just childish.
Mmhmm. Yep. I totally did not raid in Siege of Orgrimmar as a tank.
I completely do not have experience in raid tanking. Nope, not a bit. I did not tank for a guild in heroic and higher raids in Mists of Pandaria on a paladin. I did not get a few heirlooms from Garrosh. Nope, not a one -looking at a few-.
So, tell you what, you’re the expert. You seem to know everything about me. You seem to know my characters. You seem to know my deleted characters. You seem to know what servers I’ve played on. You seem to know what I’ve done.
Oh wait, no… no, you don’t. The only effort I’m bothering to put in again is for Shadowlands - and that’s because a friend wants me to help him gear up quickly when mythic dungeons are more viable.
Also, come on, man. Where were you earlier in the expansion. 5 whole kills on normal Ulduar? When it wasn’t even relevant?
8/8 Normal
8/8 Heroic
1/8 Mythic because I had to leave due to getting a 12 hour a day job.
Come on, man. Get that raiding score up. I see you’ve only got a few normals and heroics under your belt on Dazar’alor - and even less than after I had to quit if you add up your Uldir and Dazar bosses compared to my Uldir experiences on just my mage! Come on!
Nothing on Crucible?
This has been a conclusion of how you have been acting. Ahead of the Curve G’huun. Where were you?
I can pick Anchor Weed while waiting for a tank who doesn’t wear their pants on their head, so short queue times are ultimately meaningless.
No. The short queue times are pretty much the only benefit.
So: if I’m tanking a pug and random_dps_02 decides to be a toolbag, I tell the group to kick them or kick me - I don’t care because my queue pops in seconds.
Sometimes they kick the toolbag, sometimes they kick me. I don’t care, because my queue pops in seconds.
That is because of a massive demand problem, so tanks have those rights. When I’m in a pug as heals or dps I back the tank’s play, for the same reasons.
The queue times exist because any drunk monkey (sometimes me) can play dps.
