The implication of y’all’s posts were there, otherwise why use such charged language as “exploits” and such?
A fix doesn’t require a ban. But if they did ban some of the worst offenders like they did with m+ key leavers, I’m not exactly going to shed a tear either.
Scaling is incredibly broken in WoW. You get weaker as you level and that just feels bad because the content scales with you. Before content scaling, a given thing would get easier so you wouldn’t notice (or care). Now you do.
This was known (and predicted).
Prior to 11.0.5, everyone scaled down to the expansions’s level. You could get gear that scaled better and people spent time building TW sets. Anyone could participate in that. And Blizzard just killed that entire community with their desire to include level 10s in TW.
Now you still have twinking except only XP-locked twinks get participate. It’s actually more broken now.
I thought TW was in a pretty good state in DF. In TWW? It’s a chore. In fact, everything feels like a chore, like it takes longer than it should (eg Comp Stomp now vs DF). I have twinks for TW mostly because it’s fun. It’s actually like playing Remix dungeons.
Even the 70-80 scaling feels bad. It may have always worked this way but IMHO the power drop off never felt this bad. At least in Remix you could skip 60-70 with mailed XP tokens. Plus you became OP again once you fully upgraded your gear.
Retail justfeels like all the worst parts of Remix with none of the payoff.
Is it actually a glitch? Or just working as intended with bad tuning?
Because an exploit is exactly what it is and one should be willing to call a spade a spade.
What I see is people asking for a fix and people that don’t want it fixed overreacting and seeing bans everywhere.
They did nothing about it in Remix, so my guess is no.
You have two choices, enjoy the carry or don’t group with people that are level 11.
You getting grumpy over it doesn’t make it an exploit.
Level 10/11s oneshotting everything in TW dungeons has existed for YEARS and Blizz is fine with it. The playerbase overall is fine with it.
People don’t play TW dungeons for the story and exploration.
With that logic its okay to one shot stuff in dungeons. Should it be okay to one shot stuff in M+ as well?
Take revenge.
Run ahead tank and Conflagrate / Shadowburn 1-shot everything like the god you are.
(Me this morning)
Question for those this makes so angry, y’all do leave the dungeon as soon as you see the low level character obliterating everything and making it a speedrun, right?
You don’t let yourself be carried, right?
That’s not even apples and oranges, it’s apples and salmon. Timewalking is for levelling. M+ is max level/endgame. They aern’t comparable.
Low levels can’t enter m+
TW dungeons are not this esteemed sacred content you think it is.
No one is willing to call a spade a spade. Where do we draw the line? If its okay in one part of the game why not the rest of it?
What makes it an exploit is the fact it’s not intended to happen even by their own precedents. If preventing level 70 toons from locking their xp because it broke scaling was done, why the heck shouldn’t they do it to level 11s. Simply because something has existed for years doesn’t confer intent on it. Or by that logic you could say murder has existed since the dawn of humanity, therefore it’s justified. And yes I know that’s an extreme but you get the point.
And no the overall playerbase isn’t fine with it. You as one person doesn’t constitute the majority of the playerbase being fine with it. I don’t care if you do TW for story, for quick leveling or whatever. I do however care that you think you should be allowed to roll in on a level 11 toon and one shot everything turning a 5 man dungeon into a 1 man interactive movie that prevents 4 other people from getting to participate. Sorry but you don’t to get to do that.
I never want to hear about meta classes in M+ again.
Sit back and enjoy your carry on your D-tier spec and stop whining about it.
So people leveling faster and making dungeons faster in dungeons that I think many use for leveling… What is the problem? Dont tell me you pay attention to DPS meters in TW dungeons.
Its a exploit its unintended. People are not supposed to one shot a dungeon.
Feel free to have all the pedantic arguments over semantics all you want, it won’t do anything to improve the game.
Just my opinion but…
No one is exploiting as in abusing something in game in a matter that would warrant an account action.
Blizzard needs to address the scaling issues at low levels and high levels that make leveling up feel so unrewarding as relative player power seems to decline as player level increases.
Blizzard needs to scale down TW rewards (drops and classic TW vendor items) as they are still set at the same ilevel they were when the minimum level was 30.
Blizzard needs to remove ilevel scaling at 80 in instanced content - throttling player power at level cap goes against the basic logic of gaining power with more gear.
Right?? What is wrong with these people wanting to shuffle through the same old dungeons at an absolutely glacial pace?
Wack.
