More lizards!
Had a short video in my Youtube recommendations for names for Lizardfolk characters. Itās a very simple video, but something I figured Iād still link in case it can inspire anyone to think of Saurok names:
The videoās description mentions an article for Lizardfolk names that doesnāt seem to exist any more on their website. However, it does have two other articles involving Lizardfolk names.
While scrolling down on the articles, the website will turn black and highlight a box to subscribe when you reach that part of the article. I was still able to scroll past it to continue reading, but figured Iād mention it just in case it does that for anyone else.
Hope these help anyone who is trying to think of names for potential Saurok characters if they ever become playable!

Blizzard has announced the next patch for Dragonflight, Dark Heart, comes out on May 7th:
MoP Remix will be out on May 16th:
I donāt really expect much in Dark Heart that is Saurok related. Of course, Iāll keep an eye out just in case.
MoP Remix, however, could have some neat Saurok things to report. Not expecting a whole lot, since this is during MoPās timeline, but there could be some new things we donāt know about if MoP Remix does anything similar to SoD. And of course there could also be some Saurok related goodies to earn we donāt know about either.
I will be playing MoP Remix as soon as I can and explore it thoroughly. Potential new Saurok research is always exciting, and MoP is my favorite expansion. Not just for Saurok of course.
I will continue keep an eye out for anything Saurok related to report!

Wowhead reported on something from the alpha indicating that MoP Remix may end on August 19th. Please note this is still being tested, so it is subject to change. Link to article below:
Seeing as MoP Remix is currently planned to come out on May 16th, that is quite a bit of time to allow us to get whatever items we want from it, assuming the date doesnāt change. Helpful for me, since Iām unsure of my free time within the next few months and will want some items from the event.
On another note, I actually saw some new Sonic the Hedgehog 2.5 inch figurines at one of the Wal-Mart locations near me and spotted one of my favorite characters from the series:
Needless to say I snagged Vector and he is up on the shelf above my computer (yes, I helped him find the computer room) giving me the thumbs up. Kind of a good source of motivation and feeling like Iām doing a good job in a way.
Come to think of it, Vector does run a detective agency. Maybe I should look for Espio the Chameleon, another favorite character of mine, and Charmy the Bee and have them help me look for Saurok clues in the future. Definitely something to considerā¦

We finally have some news on more character slots being added per account, which will be 5 new ones when the next patch hits:
This is pretty exciting news since MoP Remix requires new characters being made and Iām right at the character slot cap. More character slots are always helpful and very appreciated!
I had a few character ideas in mind I could use with these new slots, though keeping some in reserve for future playable races is also a good idea. Maybe Iāll use them to make more Saurok characters if they ever become playable. I wouldnāt mind having my own Saurok army!

The Earthenās dances for male and female Earthen have been revealed in short videos in the following posts on X (formerly Twitter).
Male Earthen dance:
Female Earthen dance:
Itās good to see that they get unique dances, given how closely they resemble Dwarves.
I bring this up as an example of some races that have similarities to current playable races still getting some unique characteristics to them. In some cases like the Vulpera, who use many Goblin animations, it is a given that they would have unique dances of course, but itās still worth noting as examples.
With Saurok, I can imagine the male and female Worgen skeletons being utilized for rigging if Saurok were to ever become playable, seeing as it would save a lot of resources in order to do that. However, while I can see some shared animations, I do see them having several unique animations still.
And of course with that, they should have their own dances. Itās pretty much an expectation, even if Saurok were designed as an Allied Race as opposed to a Core Race. It would be fairly disappointing to just see them have the Worgen dances, but I feel like the chances of the Worgen being the Saurok dances are very low. As such, I really donāt see why Saurok wouldnāt have their own dances.
Iām still looking around to see if I can find any fitting dances for them. So far, I still have the two I listed on the bottom of the main megathread post, which would work fairly well. Still, Iām keeping an open mind as I look for other options.
Of course, I know Iāll be doing all sorts of dances if Saurok ever became a playable Horde race!

Recently, Wowhead made an article mentioning Earthen as available for testing on the TWW alpha:
Of interest is a screenshot they made of the character creation race selection screen with Earthen on there:
As you can see, there is still room on both columns for new races. I also could imagine there being another column if we ever get to that point. I assume Core and Allied races would be getting their own columns in such an event.
Of course, there is plenty of room on the Horde side of that character creation screen for Saurok! And room in general for races people have been requesting!

As you may have heard, there are no plans currently for Blizzcon 2024 to happen:
I can see part of the reason being that there wouldnāt be much to announce. TWW is suppose to launch a bit later in the year, so announcing Midnight stuff and opening pre-orders for that might be a bit soon. I assume weāll learn more about Midnight next year because of that.
It does sound like Blizzard will be attending some events like Gamecom with some announcements. I know that in June, there is suppose to be an Xbox showcase which has PC stuff as well, so we could see something there also. Iāll be keeping an eye out for any events they attend and any news of interest to report back here.
And of course, the 30th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise and the 20th anniversary for WoW specifically is this year, so there could be some fun celebrations. Itās a pretty big milestone, so Iām curious what all will be done to celebrate it.
Speaking of celebrations, May is almost here, which means this megathreadās 5 year anniversary is slowly approaching! Still donāt have any particular plans for it unfortunately, but Iāll be sure to do some celebrating for it!

Some mounts were found in the TWW alpha that Wowhead made an article on, including basilisk mounts that look a lot more like crocolisk mounts:
The mounts of interest coming from the article above:
As I said, they look much more like crocolisks than basilisks to me.
Anyway, why is this important to share? Well, previously, there was only one crocolisk mount I was aware of and a few PvP basilisk mounts. So to see those mounts get remodeled for TWW is very much worth noting for Saurok.
Iāve mentioned before that crocolisks could be a potential racial mount, seeing as many of them reside on Pandaria, so seeing the crocolisk mount get some new models, even if theyāre suppose to be basilisks, makes that a possibility. Just with a Pandarian crocolisk instead. Likely easier to travel to another continent with also if Saurok decided to swim instead of taking ships.
This is of course just one idea of several possible Saurok racial mounts. Crocolisks, mushan, and devilsaurs are still potential beasts for the role. And there could always be new beasts that are made for that role also, depending on where the playable faction of Saurok reside. Lots of potential to discuss!
Anyway, just something neat I wanted to note for playable Horde Saurok idea inspiration.
-Playable Saurok for the Horde please!
Oh those would be wonderful Saurok mountsā¦
May 2024ās Trading Post rewards have been officially revealed:
And the reward for doing enough tasks is this butterfly wings transmog:
Nothing Saurok related as usual, though I donāt really expect that in the first place. Still worth keeping an eye on and reporting just in case.
Seems like there is a flower theme for this monthās Trading Post. Maybe Saurok could like flowers in some way. You never know!
Iāll keep reporting on each monthās Trading Post rewards in case there is something Saurok related!

Wowhead reported on the unlock requirements for Earthen. Without going into any particular details, the only unlock requirements seem to be completing various questlines in TWW. More info here, though please note this is from the Alpha, so things can always change:
Itās possible that going forward, future Allied Races will just have questlines to unlock them as opposed to rep grinds, which a lot of people complained about. Part of me feels like Blizzard could still use rep grinds, but the chances might be low depending on how they write the storylines involving new Allied Races.
With Saurok, I could see them being treated as either a Core Race or Allied Race. If the latter, I could see similar unlock criteria with them, since they might need some warming up before they decide that the character creation screen looks particularly cozy. Even with the potential time gating, it could make for an exciting storyline to work with a tribe, knowing theyād eventually join up. I know I would be invested.
And even if rep wouldnāt be a requirement to unlock future Allied Races, I know Iād be this excited if I ever saw a Saurok rep I could work on my Horde characters while making getting exalted with them a top priority:
Speaking of Earthen, there is still more things of interest to report on with them. The Allied Race banner placement in both Horde and Alliance embassies are one while seeing what is done with Earthen and even Dracthyr Death Knights when they are available are another. Iāll be sure to report on that when theyāre officially available!

Hey! You! Yeah, you! Did you hear? Itās a new month! That means you can do another round of in-game new playable race request suggestions! Here, Iāll show you how!
With the beginning of each month, I make in-game suggestions for each race I want to see playable along with a mention of their respective megathreads on these forums. While it is far from a guarantee of seeing our dreams come true, I do think every little bit helps, and doing it monthly I feel is reasonable and not that intrusive or annoying.
If youāre interested in doing the same for races you want to see playable, I made a little guide on how to do so in-game here:
Let us hope we can make some happy lizards like the one above with Saurok on the Horde side of that character creation screen someday!

Help me Obi-Thrall Goāelbi. Youāre my only hope!
Happy Star Wars Day everyone! As part of tradition in here, Iāve looked for some Trandoshan stuff to share here, since a lot of things about them would work really great as Saurok inspiration!
First some art pieces!

A neat art piece showing a Trandoshan with an axe.

A Trandoshan with a red lightsaber. Probably a Sith Lord.
And of course, a video going over information of Trandoshans in general with several facts on them that would work well for playable Saurok idea inspiration:
And a video going over the types of weapons Trandoshans use:
Whatever your plans are today, have a fun, happy, and safe day. May the Fourth be with you!

Youād honestly think that they or Sethrak would be the worgen counterpart to the allied races. As the already existing ones have a skeleton of one of the playable races. And both of those races use the worgen skeleton (saurok having the male worgen rig and sethrak having the female rig.)
I would trade Earthen for either two literally any day of the week. Sethrak, Saurok, Naga, and Arakkoa are my favorite non-playable races, and Iād be over the moon if even one of them becomes playable.
Earthen are literally just reskinned dwarves, I just donāt find that interesting.
I know the BfA Allied races seemed to have a theme of being a counterpart to a Core Race in some fashion, but I donāt know if that was the intention. It just seemed very impractically limiting to focus on that as the reason for making some of the Allied Races playable instead of other reasons. Regardless, that trend has since been broken with Earthen now.
But yes, I do feel like playable Sethrak is one of the biggest missed opportunities. Moreso since at the time, they were one of the most requested Allied Races and Sethrak fans are still a pretty big community. Then again, BfAās theme seemed to be āmissed opportunitiesā in general, with Shadowlands right after it really not helping a whole lot.
I have to wonder if BfA wasnāt rushed and had some more time, if we wouldāve gotten any more Allied Races. It mightāve been unlikely still, but I wonder if the return to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms couldāve been expanded a bit more to have a tribe of Saurok for us to work with. It wouldāve fit the general storyline of Horde working with the Saurok while Alliance working with the Rajani Mogu and having tensions flaring while the Horde and Alliance see the true meaning of Winter Veil and decide to stop fighting for now (again!) and get the two factions to stop fighting as a result to focus on Nāzoth and ending with those two as Allied Races. Wishful thinking, I know, but still a missed opportunity that wouldāve worked well with BfAās storyline.
As for Earthenā¦yeah, I understand those feelings. As I said before, my main issue is the treatment of Wildhammer Dwarves and getting relegated to becoming a Customization Race while this new Dwarf race gets Allied Race treatment. That and the whole thing about Horde Dwarves being a thing now, since I feel like there is a bit too much fixation of a faction getting themes or aesthetics of the other faction in the form of some variant of that factionās races. Adding new races because of that as opposed to other more important reasons to me feels like a āmissing the forest because of the treesā type of problem to me, but I digress.
At the very least, Blizzard does seem interested in adding new playable races, and hopefully weāll actually see some existing NPC races become playable that people have requested for quite some time. Plenty of room on that character creation screen!

Wanted to make a mention that today, the state I live in (Oklahoma) is having a high risk of severe weather with an expectation of violent, long-tracked tornadoes. The type of high risk severe weather on the map something that is rare and was last issued on May 19th, 2019.
Since itās all āDay of Lavosā here today, Iām unsure if my area will be affected at all, leading to power loss or worse, so Iām not sure if Iāll be able to post for awhile depending on the situation. Donāt worry, my storm shelter and my strong yearning for playable Horde Saurok should help keep me safe!
So Iām just going to post a small video of some general Lizardfolk information with some neat artwork for this post for the usual Saurok idea inspiration:
Anyone in the risk areas of severe storms today in any of the affected states, please be safe and be weather aware!
-Playable Saurok for the Horde please!
I have survived yesterdayās storms! I was very lucky with the storm that went over me last night didnāt produce anything other than some loud thunder. Maybe it knew of my Stormbreaker title or something.
Anyway, the new patch for Retail WoW is going live today, which means that MoP Remix is in one week! In fact, Wowhead shared some information on the in-game reasoning for why weāre going back to that timeline:
Taken from the article, there is an in-game conversation you can have with one of the dragons in MoP Remix about why you are there, with the bold text being what your character can say:
Click here to see the in-game conversation! Some spoilers within!
Eternus is who you talk to, who says the following:
"When Nozdormu showed me that my sisterās death was her choiceāher sacrificeāit made me question the rest of the ātrue timeline.ā
What other moments of sorrow or anger had life-saving consequences? When the mists of Pandaria patted, the Horde and Alliance brought their conflict to these shores and awoke a slumbering evil.
Butā¦ perhaps it was all necessary to bring about a brighter future. It is time to reflect on the past with a new perspective. That is why I am here, along with those of the infinite dragonflight whom I could convince to join me.
Does this mean you believe in the true timeline now?
I remain skeptical of Nozdormuās faith in it, but I am willing to give his wisdom the benefit of the doubt. Help us or leave us to our work.
What is my mission?
Relive this timeline so that we may observe its events from a new perspective. We will be watching you.
What will be different?
We will equip you with an artifact of the infinite. A cloak that adapts and changes as you do. Nozdormu is opposed to altering the past, But we are not doing so. are we? The events that transpire here will remain the same.
It is you who will be different."
At least it isnāt being used as a vacation destination, though I can still see Chromie and others sunbathing in beach gear while wishing us luck.
Still, all this talk about titans and quite the focus on MoP is very interesting. Maybe we luck, weāll be getting some help from the Saurok if we have to beat up any evil titans or go against them or whatever big bads are in the next few expansions. Youād think some of the Saurok tribes would have artifacts and knowledge from raiding Mogu vaults that could give us an advantage, which is a pretty intriguing idea.
Anyway, Iāll definitely be playing MoP Remix when it goes live and keeping an eye out for anything of Saurok interest to report back. Not that I expect much new, but you never know. Iāll also see if any new rewards pop up of interest as well that havenāt been shown off yet.
Still hoping weāre in the timeline where playable Horde Saurok will be a thing someday!

In celebration of MoP Remix coming out soon and it being awhile since Iāve linked any recipe videos in here, I thought I would link a video showing how to make your own mini egg rolls!
And not just any video. This comes from Chef Lenny the Lizard, who you may recall is a lizard chef with his own cookbook Iāve talked about before, and this particular recipe is being made by his owner. You can also edit the recipe to include whatever ingredients you want as well.
Mini eggroll video recipe below:
Seems like a pretty great snack to munch on while playing MoP Remix! Iām sure Saurok would have their own variant to include meat, of course!
-Playable Saurok for the Horde please!
Ohā¦ Those actually look pretty neat!
