Who’s complaining about depressed prices?
in this other thread…sorry.
same boring topic.
Skinning, 4-5 constant fast re spawn on Drustvars Quil. Mass farming non stop flooding the market with cheap bones leather and a tone of greens for DE.
The low sell price of the leather and bone is a joke. I cant compete.
Tauren racial pick up flowers faster
"I wish Blizz would fix the problem by reverting the ore/herb nodes back to single use.
Resources go back to being valuable.
Flasks become valuable.
Inscription becomes valuable.
Blacksmithing becomes valuable.
Jewelcrafting becomes slightly less useless.
No more obnoxious sled teams polluting the air.
No more multiboxing scum."
Right there. Next?
Hmm, I thought this topic was about herb/ore multiboxing, not sure what all that is about. Particular the zin herb (key ingredient for top pots/flasks) confined to one zone.
Flip. Thats really easy and very little time investment.
IF the stuff you sell is actually selling, flipping is the easiest way to make gold.
If its not selling, then there really isnt anything farmers are doing to screw with that.
That’s as much because there’s barely any use for leather as because of bots. There’s only so much you can expend on drums and barding when the armor is either BoP or worthless.
Absolutely not. Crafting in TBC and the like was dreadful.
I think it detracts from enjoying a moment of herbing or collecting ores… I’d love to see a progression in gather professions that give you abilities to find more nodes instead of just collect more at a node.
Really make use of the land you design. Right now unless you aren’t lucky, multiboxing, or picking at a certain hour… current gathering professions are just not worth spending time on.
Yeah, I just checked hoping the price was down due to the over gathering but it is still hovering around 50gp a zin’anthid.
On high pop they hover around 40g. Obviously they would be much higher without multi-botters.
If they wanted multibox of any or all forms out, that would be done.
For Blizz that is very simple to do. People often kid themselves that they cant prevent things.
This is not a solo game that needs to have any kind of DRM at client side.
At the moment you log into a server, there is a process generally called Gatekeeping. The moment you use a multiboxing setup to log, the servers knows you are multiboxing, whatever proxy, lan, Hard Drive, Virtualization or other technique you use, because you cant change the package of metadata.
They dont change it because they dont want to, not because they cant.
So if they dont simple prevent it from happening, it is because they are happy the game works in this regard the way it does.
My server has one or two people manipulating zin. Prices go up to 140 and then slowly down to 60 over the course of three days, then they buy it all up and back to 140 it goes.
The stock fluctuates between 5-25k available.
The problem is too many people farming and not enough nodes. Used to get 100 just picking them up along the way doing an emissary, lucky to get 6 now.
Nodes need to change to allow more than 5 taps and not despawn so quickly. The problem isn’t multi boxers, it’s 30 different people tapping a 30 different nodes and disappearing them.
I think this is a good idea. They could also put rep requirements for ranks like for other professions, which would at least make it harder for multi-botters to create more toons.
Another more radical idea is to make additional accounts only accessible by cash subs instead of tokens. I’m pretty sure that would kill almost all multi-botting. Of course this is all moot since blizz doesn’t see any problem that needs addressing.
Better idea. Break /follow.
No they don’t see an issue. I just think it’d be a neat idea to ‘‘explore’’ since they said they were redesigning professions for shadowlands. And personally I think things like Herbalism and Mining could be a bit more… and not so half-assed but could maybe let people who want to pick flowers or mine on the side not be put off 'cause multiboxers keep the land empty of nodes. But instead, allow for more exploration in correlation with how far you’ve gotten in the profession to find herbs somewhere you’d never think to look before.
and this would help how? Seriously did you even consider the damage of this Solution? Probably not.
That would be nonsense to begin with. The nodes end up disappearing regardless of being hit by a MB…or you.
Ive watched them disappear ten thousand times while I was trying to get to them after a NON MBer had hit them before I did.
