Yep, single tapped nodes were an amazing time for botters.
Nobody is falling for this.
Yep, single tapped nodes were an amazing time for botters.
Nobody is falling for this.
I still canât see the issue.
The problem with your strategy is that people like me exist.
I wonderâŚ
Is it possible that botters, perceiving legit multiboxers as having some impact on their activities, are behind many of these complaints about something Blizzard specifically states is allowed?
Why not make nodes individual to each player? If the nodes for everyone are on different locations then multiboxing would be pointless for gathering.
Yes, calling people multicheaters should be a bannable offense.
Hereâs the issue.
Bots are headless. Meaning if you give everyone a personal farm ala Warlords of Draenor Garrison someone will have the brilliant idea of firing up thousands of bots on their server farm to farm herbs.
Because bots are headless they can exist on an infinite number of shards operating independently of each other. Itâs far and away the most damaging form of activity to the game economy.
Multiboxing is limited by the fact one person is controlling them all. This means one shard, 10 max. Anything more than that and their clear speed is gone.
We donât want bots controlling the market. The way it is now dozens or hundreds of players are operating on different shards and some 1-2% of them are multiboxing. Itâs seriously not the issue people think it is.
If they are smart (they arnt) they will make crafting materials soulbound in shadowlands, something that should have been done a decade ago.
That wouldnât be smart.
No, I hate it when they fix a 0.5% problem to the detriment of 99% of the other players.
Most people donât multibox, and at least multiboxers are putting money into the game.
I also hate that the Bwonsomdiâs Bargain thing for M+ doesnât show up for 10+ now, because I guess 0.5% of the population was abusing it, so we have to punish 99.5% of the rest of us.
As the guy that supplies our raids with cauldrons, I spend a couple of hours a week gathering herbs and I have noticed an increase on âhydraâ players gathering as well. But it doesnât really impact my ability to gather, as the node despawn mechanics doesnât change if a single character or several interact with it. I actually thought it would drive down the herb market price but I honestly havenât noticed that much of a change in the big name herbs either. So if they are flooding the market, it is a market that is still willing to pay top dollar for their herbs.
Naj herbs can only be found in Naj and are included in everything.
Basically weâll never see those drop to 8g like the others which I think was intended to control the supply of flasks to the market.
Multiboxers are an insignificant factor in that as youâve observed. 0.1% * 10 is 1%âŚ
Yet another account advocating a change which will greatly benefit bots.
Whereâs the botting forum where these threads are being organised? Perhaps some multiboxers would like invites to go there and yell âmulticheaterfarmcapitalgoldistoppresssbotsâ.
Iâve been learning amazing new words from some of these boxing threads.
So the complaint is that the value of the mats is dropping because multi-boxing?
give me a break.
The people complaining are probably the same ones trying to buy up all the low priced mats and then relist at a much higher price.
I support multi-boxers flooding the market with mats.
and I support Saudi increasing production of crude to further drive down the price of oil.
That doesnât take into account how fast it can be gathered. Mutliboxers can gather faster with many herbs concentrated on one node, than if itâs spread out over many nodes. Nodes per time is the same uni or multi boxing, so you end up with something like 80% of the herbs going to 10% of the players (the exact number is not known, but that gives the idea of whatâs going on.)
Example:
uni-boxer:
-1 node per minute * 3 herbs per node = 3 herbs per minute
multi-boxer
-1 node per minute * 15 herbs per node = 15 herbs per minute
without multi-tap: uni boxer unaffected, multi-boxer gathers the same as a uni boxer.
Im starting to wonder now that youve said it.
wish theyd come to my server. I like cheap mats so I dont have to drag myself across half of the game every day.
SInce multiboxers are the only one that can gather quickly enough, they corner the market and jack up the price. Nazjatar is the only place for Zin, multiboxers swallow it up. Remove multi-tap, make more nodes, even the playing field.
present a case to blizzard.
Doesnt ruin my game either way.
I either make a mint farming and selling matsâŚor I buy the mats cheap that someone else farmed, make crap and sell that crap and StiLL make my gold.
Not really sure how this is that hard for a few players in here.
If it aint making goldâŚdo something else.
So which is it? In these threads we see people a) complaining about the prices being depressed by multiboxers so they canât make any money and b) people like you complaining they are driving up prices. It canât be bothâŚso maybe you should all get together and decide which one is the real issue.
