Solution to prevent herb/ore multiboxing from running the economy

Instead of the current system, nodes should go back to single player tapping, there should be many more nodes in proximity, like 10-20 yards of each other, and for a single node the amount per click reduced.

Making the nodes single tap and adding more of them has the same effect as people multiboxing. Think about it…

1 node allowing 4 multiboxers to tap is the same amount of ore as 4 nodes allowing 1 person to tap. The market is flooded either way.

Edit: Per comment below, “The market is flooded” was the wrong choice of words. “Supply and price artificially increased” is more appropriate.

When I multibox it’s very easy for me to let my 5 druids click the same node. It’s more difficult and cumbersome to move all 5 druids to individual nodes and click them.

While I herb one node the others in proximity are free to be picked by another player.

So you don’t want to multibox anymore, but keep the overall number of ore and herbs on the auction house the same? Is keeping those 5 accounts open getting too expensive for you?

I understand how multiboxing works, I tried it once a while ago. As for my personal situation money is not an issue

I think it’s healthy to have high amounts on the market. My proposal helps to give everyone a fair chance to take part.

Isn’t that the same as what I’m doing? Turn your druid into a gathering alt (sadly this is my main) and just follow those multiboxers and click on what they’re clicking on.

Btw it’s weird that all multiboxer I saw are taurens, every single one of them are taurens.

If the market is flooded with zin going for 50+ gold each on my server, and anchor weed spiking as high as 150 gold each, I’d hate to see prices in a non-flooded economy.

Thanks for pointing that out. I forgot the purpose was to inflate the price by putting them up higher, not try to compete with themselves. But as for the number of items on the auction house, the result is the same. His “solution” could turn everyone into a farming alt. That is actual competition between people, and would cause prices to plummet. Good for buyers, but bad for anyone using current legitimate means to make money.

I’m for it, though delay the suggestion a bit because I’ll need some anchor weed for a few weeks more. :white_check_mark:

No thanks . I can make gold from herbalism just fine.

Beware of spending to much time Herbing, it gave my finger tendenitus from holding down right mouse button so much to steer. Also sucks I cant find a way to toggle on Steering.
+1 vote more herb nodes & no double Tap

We keep calling them multicheaters till the point blizzard admits it and makes it a bannable offense.

In b4 low int people start implying a ToS has anything to do about right and wrong and is merely a legal document to protect a company.

It is cheating when it comes to reality, reality doesnt need regulation or laws to tell you what is right and what is wrong, people who need laws to tell them that lack critical thinking

It’s the Tauren racial:

Gives them a 0.5 second flower picking cast for any herb.

oh…great…another pointless whining MB thread.

Right, because that’s going to happen.

By all means though, carry on with your multiplaint argueboxing.

Seems to me this suggestion simply replaces multiboxers with a return of outright bots.

The gathering economy is simply too lucrative to ever be healthy.

How many characters you gonna keep posting threads about this non issue of subject on?

then go cry at blizzard because calling players names just makes them giggle and wonder about your mental state.
Players dont make the rules. You do know that, correct?

no…its the RULES of the game right now…and it doesnt required YOUR approval.
EZ enough?

actually, in reality is NOT cheating by the rules the rule MAKER has in place.
Try harder.

sorry but the rules are what they are.
Your joke ‘critical thinking’ tripe is actually your unbridled SUBJECTIVE EMOTIONALISM based entirely on your biased sense of ‘morality’.

YOUR subjective morality doesnt trump MINE, friend.
I say MBing is perfectly fine and moral.
