Depends Blizz said they will balance around Blitz. Time will tell. They did specifically buff Prot Pal in only PvP and they are by far the worst Tank in Blitz.
Tanks shouldn’t be much lower if they are playing the same amount of games.

But they won’t be playing the same amount of games because, representation wise, they’re not nearly as popular as dps. That’s why the rank 1 ranges are historically lower for them.
I don’t think I can agree. When Memphisrains was rank 1 as Prot War he was Queing into and beating absterge/cdew etc and the top players and had equal rating. His rating was over 3k.
When Stunandbung was Rank 1 Prot Pal believe he had very high rating as well. Same or higher than most Dps.
Representation shouldn’t matter just games played. (although I hope we get more representation)
With that said just took Rank 1 as Prot. That’s it for me tonight. Unless others been pushing and it hasn’t updated. The other team capped in EotS to go up 1463 too 1300 and that cap lost them the game. We capped the other 2 bases when they flipped the EFC had no where to go they scrambled and we killed him. We won 1500 to 1463.
Never give up and don’t make mistakes. I can only imagine chat on that team right now lol.

Fury is B tier. Arms and Fury are nearly unplayable at high MMR in Arena. I’m seeing people put Prot War above them for Arena. That is how bad they are.

Yea agree. I almost didn’t Que again but I wanted to try the push and it worked. Sometimes the MMR can be funky I feel like. Earlier I got put into a lobby I had no business being in at 1500 MMR. We destroyed them but still, I got only 5 rating and the risk wasn’t worth the reward.

It’s actually a fact. A rogue can’t kill me 1v1. It’s impossible. (as it should be) Prot War is Anti-rogue. I’ve had a good rogue get me to like 50% HP once.
I’ve talked about it in this thread in great detail with another Rogue.

Yea definitely the most fun since WoD/Legion.
Then you don’t understand what they can do and don’t utilize them. Tanks have some of the most wild utility in the game for team fights and capping bases.
- Vengeance DH on Gilneas at LH can literally take a player pick them up and put them behind the house under water on the bottom of the sea floor and hop back and cap.
- Blood DK can kidnap healers all game and drag them away from objectives
- Prot pal can magic immune and cap bases on casters, you have to walk up and hit them with your staff
- Prot War offers your team 30% damage reduction which is up almost all the time as well as the most obnoxious roots in the game that bypasses Root immunities. Prot War can root Evokers and pesky classes. Their root has a separate DR table. So stopping EFC or in Silvershard I can just knock players out of the circle and Aoe root everyone over and over.
That’s not really the game anymore and hasn’t been for a long time. FCing is about mobility. Tanks can shine in peeling for the FC or making the EFC life miserable. Some mobile Tanks can FC but they aren’t MW monks or Evokers.
A blood DK should never FC ever! The one who is currently over 2400 didn’t get there by FCing. They did their actual role. To kidnap players and harrass them. Which is why their name is Healrstealr.

Nor healers TBH.
Gaurdian needs versatility badly as it is one of their top stats. Season 1 has low verse and with all of the healing nerfs blizz did to tanks this expansion because of health pools, bear druid is squishy and cant heal. Frenzied regen used to be 30 percent now its 10 percent…
So yea might have to wait a season or 2 to try bear again.

First of all you aren’t getting me down too 30% HP to even proc it. Then after you open on me I will kill the rogues in about 20 secs. Prot shreds Rogue.
I was fighting a DK had 2 rogues open on me. Got out of the CC, I killed the DK then killed the one Rogue and then the other. It’s a complete miss match aka hard counter. Your damage is just nullified and Prot has good sustain/burst.
Not to mention most Rogues don’t get the opener because I can knock them out of stealth with Demo shout. As I mentioned in that thread. Although sometimes I let them open when I need my back scratched.

Unpopular opinion but PvP is healthier without tanks. They are either unkillable without stacks or as strong as paper. I’m all for tank specs being unable to queue
