Reread the description on the Maldraxxas it seems a corrupt guy has taken over the military to use on the shadowlands instead of defending it also all the new zones are corrupted atm. Also the arbitor decides who goes where, maybe its corrupt too sending everyone to the maw. During the blizzcon panel the dev said "you may or may not be against the jailor, by the end of the xpac u may be working together to restore the shadowlands.

Thrall still uses shaman totems, hes more enhancement now then before but still a shaman. Also hero NPCs have always had/been more then one class/spec.

Actually my reasoning is I’m not sure what can be done with them storywise after Sylvanas is removed from the story, at least not at this point. Both are obsessed with revenge and neither have much more going on.
More so with Genn than Tyrande, since it’s a recent development with her, but giving either of them a heroic death would be acceptable to me not because they want retribution but because it would be cathartic for the characters themselves to give their all in the name of their cause.
If you disagree with my reasoning though, that is fine. It’s characters I’d personally be cool with dying, not necessarily ones you’d be cool with.

There is a fear though that they’ll give Suevanas the Kerrigan treatment and completely forget she just tried to kill life on azeroth because it was for the “greater good” or some crap

I had heard that the devs said she made a deal to send souls to the Maw waaaay back when she yeeted herself off Icecrown.
In one last valiant effort both the alliance and horde travel to the shadow lands…but only the alliance can see the light out and trap the horde there…FOREVER ENDING THE WAR AND CLAIMING THE VICTORY THAT WAS ALWAYS THERES!!!

He doesn’t use totems either. The totems he used in the Braine Rescue Scenario were given to him by Rokhan.

That was literally never stated. So unless you can show a source please do.
It was stated TWICE. When you arrive in the Cleft of Shadows Rokhan is literally in the process of giving Thrall invisibility totems. The second time Thrall outright says this:
“With Saurfang branded a traitor by Sylvanas, the guards will attack us on sight. So we will avoid their notice. Rokhan’s totem will grant us stealth for a limited time and even so wary guards may spot us, but I do not wish to leave a trail of bodies in our wake. They are still part of the Horde.”
So… yeah. Just ask for when it was said and don’t just outright deny it.

i asked for a source you provided but that still doesn’t make him not a shaman, thats not really how being a shaman works regardless he is still a shaman just being more enhance.
Your entire argument was that he was a Shaman because he uses totems.
Not you’re just saying he’s Enhance… when Thrall is wielding a two-handed axe and swinging it without using any elemental abilities.
If a character (like Bolvar for example) just doesn’t use their old abilities anymore, are they even that class? Because from what you’re describing, Bolvar is still a Paladin.
