Sooo Blizzard devs have stated that some Major lore characters come with us but do a self sacrifice in there forfill their destiny, they won’t be coming back out to the living realm. Which Major lore characters do you think die?
I know Tyrande comes with us to the shadowlands Ardenweald to attempt to find out about Elune and why she was hardly present during the burning of teldrassil. Also possibly, her becoming the Night Warrior may be her training to become the next Elune.
Vol’jin will be coming as Well, possibly to replace Bwomsamdi.
In BFA, devs told us Anduin is not safe and the legion comic was actually Prophet Velan’s vision and that his visions do not always come true. So I hope Anduin dies or stays behind in Shadowlands to become the new Artbitor or some destiny so that Finally the Alliance may have a leader who is not human.
(Possibly Tyrande since an Ancient Elf would have more knowledge as a leader anyways. This would also spice things up for the Alliance since Tyrande is more battle ready for wars, this can give the alliance some backbone in future wars and eventually make the Horde and Alliance enemies again. If Tyrande and Malfurion became the new Alliance leaders, then Blizzard came work on giving the Night elves a new capital, maybe even reclaim Gilneas, The huge tree + forest in Gilneas can be for the Night Elves while the city can be for the Worgens again.

I find it terrifying that in the Shadowlands, if Tyrande dies, she’ll keep coming back pining more and more for her beloved

Genn I think is pretty much a goner…the worgen heritage armor questline sets Tess up to become his replacement as the next Queen of Gilneas (if they ever bother to actually GIVE Gilneas back in-game).
Honestly I can’t see them killing off Anduin or Jaina. Especially after Varian did the noble sacrifice bit at the beginning of Legion. If there’d been a time-jump and Anduin had a son/daughter to replace him, then maybe.
They’ve tried misleading the players before. Remember how they claimed the burning of Teldrassil was going to be more complicated than it seemed and it just turned out to be what we thought?
‘Major’ could just mean Turalyon and Alleria. Sure they ARE major lore characters, but not something like killing Jaina or Anduin would be. Velen might be considered expendable. A lot of his loose-ends character-wise got tied up on Argus.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Genn gets stuck in shadowlands trying to pin Sylvanas there but I think Sylvanas maybe safe at least until the Forsaken get another leader, Ion already stated at blizzcon that Calia and jaina’s brother will not join horde nor the forsaken. I do not think Nathanos could lead the forsaken alone, he is a prick.

We were also outright given his thoughts in Dark Mirror that without Sylvanas he doesn’t even care about existing. So unless they bother to give him major character development in SL , where she goes, he goes.

I thought in the book Elune actually bathed all the Night Elves so they felt no pain when they were burning?

Hopefully Baine toughens up, remembers the centaur and how tuaren need to be battle ready and not all pacifist all the time. In regards to that, in an interview recently, blizz devs have stated "remember what other stowaways came to Azeroth when the Mag’har did “arrokoa,saberon,botanists” did and they ran/flew towards the barrens so Tuaren will have to eventually be battle hardened.

That was hours in, a lot already burned painfully. Also Tyrande still is wondering why Elune did not save them, yet allowed her to be Night Warrior for vengeance after the fact. She stated in game that she is on a mission to find out along with hunting sylvannas.
Many people who followed her would be rather upset if that happens.

If death was broken all this time and the jailor has been locked up, it seems like the jailor is Death the actual DEATH grim reaper ect. Also seems that everything is being sucked into the Maw because he is chained up. Sylvanas seems to be working for him and following his order even thought she doesn’t like her order. HE made her warcheif and wiped vol’jins soul’s memories. She truly didn’t want to be warcheif. All the ppl dead because of her are most likely being sent to the maw on purpose because they are Azeroths greatest warriors and forces, perhaps in the Maw, sylvanas is trying to get them to help her, and if they are its because they see for themselves what is going on in the afterlife and that it is a bigger concern that their living lives. Also based off the info of the Necrolords, it sounds like a Necrolord got power hungry with the militia and tried to take over all the realms in the shadowlands, in order to do that, the most powerful one must have been dealt with, aka THE JAILOR.

if that was true, Bolvar would die and Talia or Calia would be the new lich queen, if a new helm of domination is crafted in the shadowlands.

The Worgen actually have a good roster to replace Genn, Darius Crowley, Lorna Crowley, his daughter…
But most of all… I hope, and pray with fingers crossed that Anduin Sacrifices himself to close the shadowlands behind us when we leave… a night elf can only hope
