Eh, I’m evidently not as averse as most people here to the idea that working for tier is better than giving it out for free. Especially when a lot of people still have last season’s set.

I don’t like complete RNG. You didn’t earn it fighting against that. You just got lucky.
I like competing with DPS in raid and M+ even tho I’m trash. Being at a huge disadvantage because of bad RNG is not fun and makes me want to quit.
I want deterministic gear. I’m not even suggesting that we get it all in the first week.
I get that, but there’s a reason why it won’t happen, and it’s explained in this GDC talk by a former blizzard dev:

This morning right after server reset. There was a quest to open up the catalyst. Seems like that was an error (see the Blue post).

This is no good i had the quest and logged off this morning. Now its gone but when i go to the catalyst it says I will be ineligible for season2.
Same as you. You show up when Blizzard makes a highly unpopular decision, in an attempt to convince players that you’re always right and they’re dumb as boards.

Aren’t you one of the people who complains that “blizzard’s word means nothing”, and yet here you are complaining that they didn’t go back on what they previously announced before the patch was released.

Considering there was no decision. Its been stated it releases june 13th for months. People just made assumptions.
