This thread took an insane turn. Clearly, the quest was mistakenly released. It is just a bread crumb quest to point the way. And people think a reasonable solution would be to enable the catalyst early?

I started wondering what the heck sort of madness would get people to even consider that as reasonable. I guess people who don’t raid and just play M+ want their tier a week early? My word. It was clearly a mistake - it isn’t like Blizzard pushed the date forward.

geez the current crest system is exactly like the badges they did in BC that he describes as a train wreck.

Hilarious they made changes without considering the effects on other players time and time again. And they still do the same thing again and again.

it was the same place as the aiding the accord weekly pickup - it is no longer there though or it wasn’t on my alts.

I went there yesterday when I did the quest and the only piece of gear that would show up was the champion gear - the veteran would not show up.

if you did this on ptr then all the season 2 gear is not available yet
if live its not released yet

We shall see but the champion gear I had showed up as a valid selection on live yesterday before they hotfixed it.

Don’t worry, Ion will always have people like you to sooth his ego and play Devil’s Advocate for every hackneyed /played metric.

If the game is fun, people will sub. It’s OK to stop relying on Johnnyftwop dropping 500k on gametime tokens so Mobydick can gamble on the BMAH grab bag.

The catalyst should be delivered day 1. Taking this long then making a mistake about when its delivered is cringe.

It’s been stated from the beginning what was gonna be the week it’s out. If you wanna make a fuss for one single week, why were you guys even subbed this whole time?

No it shouldn’t if you want the tier at the beginning then do the content .

I had to wait the first 2 weeks to do lfr and I already have 3 pieces from just doing LfR and checking my vault oh and Time Walking Chests and I’m not complaining that it wasn’t open on day one or that they mistakenly opened it a week earlier.

For Frost DKs? Yup. One of the people I run with quit due to bad luck with tier. If M+ is the entire reason you play, it’s completely true.

For my Rsham tier is almost irrelevant for M+, but that frost DK’s DPS was being held back so much that he couldn’t help but feel he was being carried every M+ we did with our group of 3.

Myself and the other person were gearing up for 14-16s, and while he was getting gear, his DPS seemed capped to the point where it just felt bad. Even if 14-16s would be clearable, he just stopped caring and his sub ended this morning. Again, yes
frost DKs NEED tier. It’s stupid class and catalyst design.

Anyways, rant aside
there’s no reason for them to be this stingy with the catalyst (or frost DK tuning for that matter.) I don’t think anyone one can change my mind on that.
