Rdf for the equivalent of heroics (mythic 0) doesn’t exist in retail so how does this make sense?
Literally NOONE cares about 1-70 rdf only a few ppl are worried about 70-80 and the entire opposition to rdf is against heroics, which aren’t in retail in their equivalency
If I so much as try to say " rdf is fine for leveling" tho ppl will screech about how badly they need rdf heroics in phases of content it didn’t even exist in, and they can get wr3cked. The “rdf no compromises” crowd is gonna sink y’all becuase we’d all rather see no rdf period than any heroics rdf.
9.2.5 is not too bad. I did 2 weeks there. Amazing what player feedback given in beta does to make a game better lol. If they had listened to beta…SL would have been better received week 1.
Still not all good. Zm still sucks massively. BLizzard apparently patched out shaman chain heal on glaives in IOC, but did not fix glaive hp so they die to a strong wind.
So IOC to me is now worse than WG. you can lose a SR fight in wintergrasp and still win. even on offence. I’ve had teams do that. Not easy…but its possible. IOC…hangar fight lost you are killing for honor point scraps. that match is probably going to a loss.
now I jsut hit up chars for pvp weeklies. top off that honor to cap for season 4 prep lol. like last night…worked on the outland rogue tbcc a bit. Got real lucky and 1 char did all pvp weeklies in about an hour. in retail good tail wind of mostly wins.
Jsut the brawl was a loss or 2 to get a win. when alliance fails at 15 on 15 arena (the brawl this week)…its a quick loss. it has that. you fail…and in record time lol.
Thanks for proving my point, why LFD should be added to the game.
A lot of people need it, for example, people who don’t have a lot of time to play. They can queue for their heroic, while they are doing a daily quest.
that is the perfect comparison to the analogy you just did.
Depriving us from LFD lock everyone into having to reply on an addon to simulate a BAD LFG channel spam and there will be no community, regardless of how much people try to argue in favor of it.
You have gone out of the current discussion to use an analogy using cars. I took exactly what you said here:
And just like these people need a car as you said, some people really need LFD to make the best of the game.
You have to understand that some people don’t really need it and will not use it.
Most people in guilds will likely run guild runs for heroics. For others who can’t have a guild tank, they can queue and wait until they’re called up.
while you, the guy who likes to make community, you can go to Dalaran, and yell until you find people to run with you, or you can use LFG channel (that will likely be less used than before) to form your old fashioned groups.
I mean, there is some sort of beauty on it. Nostalgic. Some people might like it. And yet, you will not need to use LFD.
I’d point out that the raid logging attitude of many players was influenced by the lack of RDF giving them other things to do, since there weren’t achievements or transmog, and TBC really does have an activity cap at a point, when you have enough gold to not need dailies.
Raid logging will happen regardless, even with LFD. That is why LFD is important, because those people after the initial rush, they will raid log as much as possible.
It also gives raid-logging mindset players something direct and interesting to do. Raid loggers stop because they don’t want to bother with the boring “non-action” parts of the game. Whereas fast access to dungeons gives them a ‘mini-raid experience’. This is exactly what we saw in Wrath the first time around.
People went from Raid Logger, to Heroic badge grinder, at least until that tier’s badge gear was all bought.
Well, it helps to bring people that would like to level and gear an alt means to without having to go through the trouble of suffering for hours to get into a group for a dungeon.
The Majority of Retail players I know dont like the graphics…
update the graphics for classic and you’d see a lot more players joining for sure…
but also add a lot of the QoL things like toybox, cosmetic enhancements, vanity items, more mounts etc - those are all collectibles and fun to grind for between raiding and pvp
LFR and LFD broke a lot of things for me and others in retail.
I understand the arguement “I dont have time, life / family etc - this is why we should have lfd and lfr” - however, you lose a social aspect of the game, LFR = there is less of a need to even have a guild. those ppl you find in-game that are “good tanks” or “good healers” for looking for groups - pointless because you are not finding your groups by yourself anymore…
I do think there should be some kind of “new” system in place - no vision of what that would look like tho… something that bridges the ground between spamming a LFG chat and LFR/LFD…
The game took on quite a few changes over the years, so I lose track of what happened when or even what fully LRD/LFR did in beginning before it updated…
A “chat board” of somekind where you have to communicate with players, not just auto join some random group without talking to people… then be teleported automatically to the location… AT the very least you should have to use Meeting stones or a warlock to summon people to locations for immersion.
ppl play mmorpgs for immersion. if you just put a lot of “more efficient” things in the game you lose a lot of that. If people dont have time irl to dedicate to playing certain aspects of the game, then maybe they should play a differ game or just accept they wont be able to do a dungeon or a raid. It does take time, it is meant to take time… not be a autojoin, auto teleport there and back after AOE 2 button smash through the dungeon
