Ok but, for a lot of players myself induced Tinker is synonymous with Gnomes.
Isnât unholy already a ranged spec pretty much and what would necromancer do that demonology doesnât already do with demons.
Like necro hand of guldan summon skeletal mages, summon felguard is just a undead vyrkrul, demonic tyrant summons a lich and the list goes on.
âŚHuh? Someoneâs at the bottom of this well?
Hello!? Prot Warriors! What are you doing down there? Oh, you feel the current specs should be balanced before they add more tanks? Iâll pass it along.
Also, Necromancers unfortunately would probably function as a reskin of demonology or unholy, likeâŚnot different enough, I donât think.
A few years ago we had a âleakâ that confirmed elite reskins of existing classes. That would be really neat, but new classes altogether? I dunno man. Every once in a while I play vengeance because itâs essentially a tank lock, and then reality sets inâŚI really dislike the vengeance playstyle.
Brewmaster is the worst tank because they took away their ability to drink off stagger.
At least prot warrior was the main tank for the world first mythic Sire Denathrius kill because theyâre so " bad"
They have necromantic powers, but are not Necromancers.
Necromancers are a class, wearing cloth and using death magic and yes raising the dead. We see em all over Wrath and a few other zones at other times. They are not Death Knights.
Those are two separate classes.
I would very much doubt it too. I was not entirely serious with that bit of the reply. Also why I said Immensely Unlikely. Cause it is.
Exactly not correct.
Unholy is at best medium range like enhancement shaman. Its still mostly melee ish range.
I actually imagine theyâd have a standard caster dps spec that was mostly ice and shadow magics.
A tank spec that while a pet class setup would be immensely different than the ones we have now.
Effecitvely your main powers are set to enhance and shift the location and activity of your Tank pet, (for mobiltiy reasons) and your pet generates extra threat as you summon smaller lesser minions or other abilities depending on the undead summoned to assist.
Third spec would be healing using the flesh crafting we learned about from Maldraxxus.
Thats just stuff I pulled outa my butt, but there is no reason Blizzard HAS to design them to be like warlocks.
Or Death Knights for that matter.
What are you talking about?? Saying a DK is not a necromancer is like saying a Monk is not a martial artist.
Thatâs A type of Necromancer. Every DK is a necromancer, but not every necromancer is a DK.
The only way youâre going to get clothy necros is via class skins and locks. If they were going to be a class then SL would have introduced them.
Class skins would fit great for classes like dark ranger, shadow hunter, necromancer.
These classes would be very skeletal as stand alone classes
Classes arenât real.
A necromancer is someone who practices Necromancy, which Death Knights unquestionably do.
I might be wrong about this, but Iâm fairly confident they wonât release a new class in the next 5 years. They can barely manage class balance as it is. Some specs are entirely dead. Many specs still struggle to get any respect in mythic+ or pvp.
DH/MONK/DK were all obvious candidate.s Everything after that is weird and doesnât really make sense at all.
Yeah class balance in tbc, cata and WoD were peak balance
A DK is a DK. A Necromancer is a Necromancer as far as wow is concerned.
You canât pretend theyâre the same thing cause theyâre not. Either in Lore or in game.
They share some abilities and a power source.
Hey Iâll accept that.
Class skins is a pipe dream. If they were ever going to even consider it they wouldnât have abandoned their Glyph system.
And as Iâve stated. Necromancers still make sense at the end of SLs.
Currently in Lore theyâre maligned, but with new knowledge on how those powers can be used for good they could become, like warlocks, tolerated.
Classes do exist⌠thats why theyâre there.
A Necromancer in the lore and in game has always been a caster wearing cloth for the most part.
Death Knights use death magic and do have the ability to raise the dead. They share abilities with Necromancers.
Being honest I think thats why we didnât get Necromancers. lol
GD : Shadowlands is not balanced at all!! Fix or I unsub.
Alsp GD : letâs add another class!
Theyâre not going to introduce a class at the end of an expansion.
Classes are big selling point for new expansions. New class must match the theme of their expansion.
There is no chance in hell for death expansion #3 when weâre literally facing of against the cosmic force of death.
Itâd be just like lock green fire but on steroids.
Rangers would be a fine addition to the class roster. Hunters are sadly, not rangers, though they do have a demon hunter/warlock relationship. However I think a dark ranger archetype could be added to game as either a Shadow Spec for DK (use a bow, not melee) or a shadow spec to hunters. Personally I would rather see it added to DK to give them a ranged option, and because I really see Hunter as a pet class. And yes, I hate Lone Wolf in the hunter class, but I get peeps want a non-pet archer-which could be addressed somewhere else. In general I think the game could use more bow focused specs. Two is a little light given the space archers take up in fantasy.
Itâs a better dream them expecting blizzard to make dark rangers or necromancer that would involve an entire balancing process for an already taken design
They do not. They are a fancy label the game slaps on a skill set so it knows what skills to give you when you level up, nothing more.
Wrong. A necromancer has always been someone who practices necromancy. What they wear when they do it is tangentially relevant at best.
Because they are necromancers. Using death magic and raising the dead is what a necromancer is.
Sorry I misspoke. It would technically be for the next expansion just coming out of SLS.
Again. if that was going to happen. It would have been through Glyphs. Especially in an expansion focused on player character choice.
You can hold out hope for class skins, I wonât be.
I disagree. Blizzard for whatever reason doesnât seem to want to add class based modifications. Otherwise, again, theyâd have expanded glyphs by now.
Its more likely that theyâll add new classes.
Undoubtedly class skins would be nice though. In some cases. I donât think Necromancer fits. Doesnât really make sense with warlocks.
Guess Death Knights are calling themselves the wrong thing? Warlocks too?
They exist in game and in loreâŚ
A Necromancer in Wow has always been a caster wearing cloth⌠Not all of them even summon undead minions.
Iâm not gonna repeat myself. You can disagree I suppose.
Youâre wrong but thats your right.
Honestly I think dragonsworn would just be the âborrowed powerâ of like a dragon isles expansion.
It has no real singular identify of its own, its just a person who picks usually a singular dragonflight to serve.
Iâm for Tinker personally. Necromancer is better as like a class skin for warlock. Same like âdark rangerâ.
Tinkers would be an excellent addition to be introduced alongside ethereals. I mention them in my thread.
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/unoffical-playable-ethereal-discussion-thread/836012
Wait, Void Elves, Nightborne, Blood Elves and Zandalari? They arenât exactly Tinkers, they simply make arcane/magical infused constructs to defend their cities. Tinker would be a lot more technology related, the Lightforged on the other hand do indeed have mechs that they fight on. Dwarves also make magical constructs as well as advanced siege weaponry but nowhere gnomish levels.
MU Orcs arenât that advanced, the upgrades on Orgrimmar were mostly on the Goblins, Forsaken as far as I know are more alchemists than Tinkers butâŚ
