Refuting common arguments against Dual Spec

If players refuse to use their networking skills and guilds to find tanks, that’s on them.

You can group up if you are struggling. Or watch guides. Or just respec.

Nope. We’re here for an authentic TBC experience.

Dual spec doesn’t make more people willing to tank or heal for a PuG. Most guilds have plenty, the people just don’t want to deal with randoms. I’m largely that way myself.

Healing gear giving 33% +SP and tanks being a bit more offensive actually makes it a lot better for soloing. In some cases, it’s also better.

People will get bored way faster if dual spec is going to be implemented, i am speaking as prot warrior who enjoy occasional arms pvp spec.

Yes. I am saying that.

Yeah, I’m also fine with this.

those issues are a problem in retail to this day. druids can tank, heal, melee dps, and caster dps. most are boomie. most paladins are ret, etc.

it’s like that retail joke “a pally, druid, and monk walk into a bar: lf2m tank and heals, then g2g!”

we can do it all in retail. people still would rather just dps. the only thing it’d do is give some ret pally a pve and pvp ret spec.

Just imagine,
Being pve specced while doing raid or dungeon, and switch to pvp spec soon after you ran out off instances, you can achieve any objectives you want way faster, like farming reps, doing hcs, arena, farming nodes, bgs, dailies etc. after you completed them in a span of 2-3 months then what?? You just wait for the next patch

It doesn’t revolve around you either, sweetheart.

In two posts in a thread you started, you’ve gone from thinking you can refute all the arguments against what you want to acknowledging that you don’t even understand the thought processes of the people who make those arguments.

My advice is to just stick with the honesty of saying “I want it, so I want it.” Less effort, same chance of convincing anyone here, same chance that Blizzard will decide your (et al) voices weigh more than the voices against you.

Not have. You will choose to pay 50g every raid, because you will choose to be a moonkin when raiding and a different spec when not raiding. No one’s holding a gun to your head. You could tank raids, you could moonkin dungeons. Your choice, your cost, your concern, and as fair as could be; no class in the game needs to do what you’re choosing to do.

I agree. I think it’s a terrific argument AGAINST dual spec.

Every player in TBCC cheats? Tell me more…I love me some juicy gossip…

Well, either that or an amazing intellect who is smarter than you. Like, someone who has figured out it isn’t ALL or NOTHING. The entire world is in between. The idea that anything is ALL or NOTHING is childish fantasy.

Why would you even need something like that when 50 gold is basically free?

I do the same thing. It’s not bad at all. TBC feels like it throws money at me. YMMV

What a terrible argument. “Blizzard should abandon all pretense of delivering an authentic experience and just implement everything that exists in Retail.”

If that’s what you believe - it’s a free country. But that’s not a compelling reason, and it certainly is not a refutation of the key point.

You don’t need to do this. You are choosing to do this. You can do dungeons as a boomkin or you can raid as a feral. It is your choice to swap between them…

What surprises me is that people will say dual spec is bad for the game and that we shouldn’t get it for TBCC, yet its fine to have for wrath classic in 18 months. I’d want to see the same people in here saying that they don’t want dual spec for TBCC, in the wrath classic forum advocating to not have it in wrath classic as well, since it’s such an important thing for “identity”.

Two different games man. Its not hard to understand at all.
Its a part of WotLK no one can dispute it being put in for WotLK

Just wait your 18months to two years and you will get it.

5,000G – requires Level 60.

Why would people flag this instead of just disagreeing with it

Dual Spec would be good for the game…and spare me the #nochanges thing.
