Received Stress test email - no access

Only way is to contact Customer Support. I already submitted a ticket — with a noted 24 hr turnaround, lol.

But anyway, that appears to be the only way according to the help section.

Vrakthris:

Check if having 2 PTR accounts would cause this issue, please.

I have 2 ptr accounts and received an email… can’t see the beta and stress test download. @vrakthis

how do we tell if the email did come from blizzard? I was invited but I do not have a way to download…the email gave me a download button…but it didn’t do anything after clicking

There’s a portion of every email called the headers that tracks the entire path that it took on its way to you. You have to check where the email originated from in the headers. The “from” field can’t be trusted as it can be made to display anything the sender wants.

Most email clients have an option to display the headers, even if the option is a bit hard to find.

thank you, it appears that I have been trolled………I am very sad…been a die hard fan since reign of chaos…….im going to go cry and sleep in my room till august 27th. thank you

if it helps others…the email sent to me had a different icon than blizzards emails…it has a big B then I and not the black and blue blizzard logo

Received email yesterday and still can’t access the stress test option on the launcher. Really frustrating and would love to hear about a potential fix soon

I also received an email! But no option to download the stress test

Keep in mind guys that the “beta and stress test” game will show up as an additional PTR account in your account page. If you have two PTR accounts showing up in your https://account.blizzard.com/games , make sure you know whether it’s actually a 2nd PTR or not, and not the stress test(in which case it would be an issue with the launcher). The stress test will also display as -
" World of Warcraft®: Legion

Public Test Realm"

Not to fear (not yet anyway). There are Bliz sent invites going out, but access isn’t being granted. The issue has been sent up for investigation:

I am having the same issue. I logged out, closed the launcher, and made sure the .exe was closed. I waited about 10 minutes before opening up the launcher and logging in. That did not work for me. I logged out and uninstalled the launcher, reinstalled and logged in, still did not show up. I even switched between the beta version of the launcher and the standard version, still did not show. I received the email at 9 PM last night and retried all of the above this morning with no luck.

Well, I have 2 PTR accounts, 1 normal account, and no Stress Test Account this morning.

Really hope it wasnt just a mistake email, but its feeling like it.

yea same here i even tried switching to the BETA version of battle.net nothings worked guess ill wait a few more hrs before worrying to much

Spoke with live chat and they confirmed my email was real but that’s about all they could tell me. I think we probably got emails we were never intended to get unfortunately.

FWIW my wife got an email and she does see the option in her launcher. I didn’t see mine this morning will check again when I’m home for lunch.

I started tearing up when I got the email.
I really hope it wasn’t sent in error because I just cancelled my dinner plans for the test.
:frowning:

I got the email invite as well, but have no option for the beta stress test in region/account drop down options. Very sad…

I was going to write a snarky response about your inability to follow basic directions but then started thinking about it. Without users like yourself, there would literally be thousands of customer support jobs that wouldn’t exist. If you think about it - you’re actually a job creator!
