Speaking as someone who is the guy who rips fresh bodies a new one.
And yet people download these mods and have no problem coordinating sync’d queues.
Queue syncing is done entirely through human hands.
Thing that bothers me the most is that most players have an alt. and main so now more than ever it is super easy to transfer honor and at least have a full honor set. Yet, you see people in 500 item level gear wondering why they get one shot, while the opposing healer is in full Conquest gear.
As the most casual player here. It is ruined, will not renew my subscription. No more $15 for Blizzard their loss. Keep pushing away new players/casuals and this mode will be emptied.
For Starters. 1 is acknowledging that they’re intentionally subverting the group size limit for queuing. Playing with friends is fine, up to, but not beyond the group size limit set by the game developer.
The 2nd point, it doesn’t really matter if you know it. Everyone knows it is exploitation, but as you point out, blizzard does nothing about it. So why are we having this conversation? Primarily, because players don’t enjoy dealing with cheaters in games. If one person cheats another person’s going to complain, cause and effect. If you want people to cheat, but you don’t want people to complain… I don’t know what to tell you.
It’s not the player’s job to figure out what blizzard can do. That’s part of what blizzard gets paid for.
Never said it was.
People sync queue quite easily without any “mods”.
Imagine this:
- You get in Discord with N number of other people
- All the people get in parties (5 of less)
- The leader does a countdown to queue, “3, 2, 1, queue”
- All the party leaders hit the queue button at the same time using their own human hands
- Now the whole group is in line (a “queue” is another word for a line) all bunched up together
- A bunch of people all all clustered together at the same place in the queue are going to get multiple groups in the same epic BG
Some of the sync groups will do this process over and over again until they get at least 6 groups to pop together. None of this is rocket science and you don’t need addons to do this. And, in fact, addons cannot hit the queue button for you, much less “manipulate the queue”.
There are a lot of problems around epic BG’s and sync queueing. But for some reason, a small number of people on the forums delight in spreading nonsense about magical addons that do impossible and unnecessary things instead of sticking to complaints based on reality.
Doesn’t the presentation on the addons get taken down every time it gets posted?
You asked me and everyone else reading who take the time to read what you type, “what can Blizzard do”. You’re wasting everyone’s time, if you’re going to say that you didn’t. Read what I quoted that you posted.
You’re probably not addressing me, but I don’t think that the addons are the main problem or necessarily required to make it work, i just think it’s morally bankrupt behavior.
Wasn’t talking to you at all. And nobody who tries to win arguments with the “everyone knows” bit is worth any interaction, so I wouldn’t get into a discussion with you anyway.
(FYI, a response post shows who and what the post is responding to even when you’re not able to follow the conversation.)
We’re discussing and trying to figure things out. It’s called a discussion forum for a reason. Nobody here is paid by blizzard to figure things out, but we’re allowed to help out / discuss things.
You’ll be ok. Go after someone else please, I don’t have time for this kiddy troll crap today.
Syncing queue times- whether it is assisted or unassisted- is violating the TOS and you should get banned for doing it.
If every single person who participates in this behavior got perma-banned from World of Warcraft for life it would objectively improve the community. And considering you’ve been flaunting the fact you’ve been breaking the rules since WOD, it’d be absolutely appropriate.
Honestly a perma ban is really not that big of a deal unless you hold a bunch of m+ seasonal titles or rank 1 titles.
If you don’t you can just simply make another account and keep everything.
This also helps out botters a lot to they just get a chad robot who is better than any human player to get them everything they want and then ofc probably get permad but just create another account and keep everything the bot obtained.
And blizzard kind of throws out account closures or actions in general like they are candy on Halloween. I saw somebody get banned for a week for saying “use cooldowns accordingly”.
simply make another account and keep everything
Is that intended or is it ban evasion?
Feel free to report people. But given that the one blue post on sync queueing I’ve ever seen said it’s not against the rules, you shouldn’t hold your breath.
It’s interesting how all I did here was explain reality to you because you were clearly misinformed, and now I’m the devil. IMO, you would be better off if you could learn to have objective conversations and stop loading so much angst into a factual discussion.
I didn’t play WoD (the one x-pac I skipped) and never joined any kind of EBG effort until late last year. You seem to have a hard time refraining from making up nonsense. I’ve played since closed beta, mostly PvP, and I’ve solo queued the vast vast majority of tens of thousands of BG’s I’ve played. I’ve also gone on record saying I think the current system is terrible.
If you want to go full on emo because I enjoy going after groups of 25-30+ with my group of 5-15, knock yourself out buddy. Blizzard has demonstrated over nearly 20 years that they don’t share your opinion of what the rules should be. I could even wish that they did, but they don’t.
I mean idk.
But blizzards action system is nearly 100% automated and provably so and the reason why is obviously cost but they also imagine it’s more effective against bots.
What they don’t understand is their bot problem is already so far out of control by their own hand it’s not even funny.
So you may as well scrap the automated action system that is made as a bandaid solution to a problem that is already beyond fixing.
Because it screws over more innocent players than the bots it gets rid of (potentially)
You can have 8 accounts to 1 blizzard license. If you get perma or ban on one, just start up another account under the same license. You only lose top .1% titles from pvp and pve. Any toys, mounts, ect are shared across all the accounts.
or you can be a real man like me and have blizz delete everything and start over. No shame. #extremeshame #depression
I do wish people could read, that’s not what it says and the post itself is over a decade old and stipulating what we already knew.
You shouldn’t talk about yourself like that. The tell-tale traits of a chronic liar are a tendency towards narcissism and an assumption that everyone is lying as much as they do.
I want to play in a pug, against a pug, where no one is manipulating the system to their own benefit and at the expense of a captive audience of 40+ people who will inevitably have to quit and eat the leaver penalty because some people think they’re entitled to farm pugs, even though Blizzard explicitly said they disabled raid queuing for EBG’s for that exact reason.
