Hey folks - I rarely get ill, but when I do it’s really rough. I’ve learned over the course of my life to notice when i’m almost ill. This let’s me do what i need to do to avoid it. Which usually means dropping my usual routine and adding big helpings of my personal superfoods to my diet - doing for my body what some people do for a “sanity break”. Then I bounce back healthy & energetic in a day or two rather than spending a couple of miserable weeks.
Just to be clear - this is not the onset of Covid or anything serious. I’ve been very self-contained for the last few months. It’s likely just a combo of the heatwave (pushing 110 with 9% humidity), disrupted sleep and making an effort at some lifestyle changes have my body worn out.
So i’m cancelling the teahouse for tonight. I’ll do my best to find a way to make it up to you later in the month. Of course if you want to get together & raid the pantry, that’s fine too. 
For IC purposes you could say Kunbo left a note on the door saying “had to leave town suddenly. Be back in a week”.

Lately I’ve been running into people ingame who used to attend a long time ago or read about it here in the early days, but didn’t get around to visiting because they haven’t seen this new thread. So they don’t know the teahouse is still in business. Please help spread the word.

Kunbo’s juggling act with his knives was awesome! Looking forward to the next teahouse! It’s always great to see some familiar and new faces. 
My personal highlight was the group return of one of the contingents who have supported the teahouse from the start. IIRC I first met a couple of their members when the teahouse was just a stall at quarterly market nights.
… how come no one ever says watching the progress of the sappy couple is awesome ?

For various reasons we’re going to hold off on the alternative venue evenings until the dust settles afa Shadowlands anticipation, pre- pre-patch scramble, and launch. If there’s interest we may go to the Wanderer’s Festival twice instead.
OTOH if you consider yourself a regular - even if you haven’t dropped by in a while - make sure to hit Kunbo up about an off-site thing happening next weekend.

Tonight. 7 PM. Sri-La. Bottles of both nectars in the snow-lined wicker-wrapped crate: Blue Child or Falling Blossoms served in chilled ceramic cups.
For “reasons” this weekend & next we’re laying out the full tasters’-choice menu from earlier in the Spring.

Tonight will be our monthly visit to the Wanderer’s Festival. Teahouse opens in Sri-La at 7 PM. Depart from there for Turtle Beach at about 8:30. We’re working to make this an extra special one. We encourage you to bring beach attire. Fireworks would be a plus.

Starting time Sunday will be delayed. We will be attending the Gion-Matsuri celebration hosted by Pandaren Empire guild at 6:30 at Stormstout Brewery. Teahouse will open directly after.

Anyone can join the parade - either riding a Grand Expedition Yak or walking.
ICly everyone is given a lantern. If you have them you are encouraged to use pets or off-hand lanterns.

What a wonderful night! The festival was great. It was fun handling the catering on this alt. Heartfelt thanks to Drinks & The Pandaren Empire guild for the opportunity.
IC Kunbo knew how well it went by how exuberant everyone was during the after-party at the teahouse.
As posted before, we will continue to open the teahouse every Sunday through September & October. Special events such as alternate locations will be held off til after we see how Shadowlands affects other zones. In the meantime we will be visiting the Wanderers’ Festival as usual.
Due to RL environment teahouse is dark (cancelled) tonight.
115° F, 10% humidity. Meaning, even inside, sitting in front of air conditioner, I dehydrate if I don’t drink water/juice all day long. Just too extreme to stay focused on anything. Like I told someone in Discord, even Teletubbies would be narratively challenging on a day like today.
